Collaboration with Vidwans

This isn’t the first collaboration between Kartik and Vidwans. They had previously worked together in the 2023 film “Satyaprem Ki Katha.” The movie tells the story of Sattu, a well-meaning but unsuccessful LLB fail who aspires to marry Katha, a girl he believes is out of his league. Fate intervenes, leading them to marry, and Sattu strives to win Katha’s love.

Anticipation for ‘Tu Meri Main Tera’

In a recent update, Kartik announced the new release date for his film “Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri” on Instagram. He stated, “Your last day of the year is with us #TuMeriMainTeraMainTeraTuMeri releases 31st Dec 2025 !! The year ends but Love Begins.”

The romantic drama, also directed by Sameer Vidwans, features Ananya Panday in a lead role. This marks her second collaboration with Kartik, following their previous project, “Pati Patni Aur Woh.” The film is expected to hit theaters on February 13, 2026, and is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia, and Kishor Arora.

On September 22, Kartik marked the launch of the next-generation Goods and Services Tax (GST), recently announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Actor Ali Fazal has expressed his excitement about collaborating with director Prosit Roy for the upcoming web series “Raakh.” He praised Prosit’s unique talent for crafting immersive worlds that completely engage the audience.

Prosit, acclaimed for directing works like Anushka Sharma’s psychological horror film “Pari,” the yet-to-be-released “Chakda Xpress,” and the much-lauded “Paatal Lok Season 1,” brings his signature layered storytelling and atmospheric approach to “Raakh.”

Ali shared his admiration, stating, “Prosit Roy has been on my dream list of directors to work with for a long time. His work in ‘Pari’ demonstrated how storytelling can be enhanced through atmosphere and restraint, and later with ‘Paatal Lok,’ he redefined grit and nuance on screen.”

When the opportunity for “Raakh” arose with Prosit directing, Ali felt it was a perfect match.

Exciting Challenges

“Stepping into the shoes of a cop for the first time was already an exciting challenge, but having Prosit guide me made the journey even more rewarding. He has this rare ability to create a world that pulls you in completely while pushing you to find new depths as an actor,” he added.

Ali emphasized that “Raakh” gathered all the elements he hoped for—a great role, a powerful story, and a revered director. “I couldn’t have asked for a better combination,” he expressed.

Behind the Scenes

The series is not only executive produced and directed by Prosit Roy but also created, written, and co-directed by Anusha Nandakumar and Sandeep Saket.

In addition, Ali is preparing for his portrayal of Guddu Bhaiya in the film adaptation of “Mirzapur.” He is drawing on his family’s traditions of “pehelwani” and “kushti” to build strength and muscle for the role.

A source close to Ali noted, “Guddu Bhaiya is a beast in his own right, and he wanted to approach him with the same authenticity that his ancestors brought to their craft.”

Training Like a Wrestler

“His family has a long history in Pehelwani, and he grew up watching the discipline, grit, and sheer physical power it demands. Instead of consuming endless protein shakes, he is returning to his roots—training like a wrestler and eating like one,” they added.

Ali is reportedly relying on his family’s traditional recipes, rich in natural proteins, ghee, milk, and seasonal produce, to support his dietary needs, lending his transformation a homegrown touch.

Reflecting on his fitness journey, Ali remarked, “The idea is to build a body that’s not just for show but one that can truly fight, endure, and dominate, just like Guddu would. This is my way of bringing a fresher, fiercer Guddu to the screen.”

Actor Sonu Sood appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in a money-laundering case related to the online betting application 1xBet on Wednesday. The ‘Dabangg’ actor underwent questioning by the ED for over seven hours.

Prior to this, former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan faced questioning regarding alleged money laundering linked to an “unauthorised” gaming app that he endorsed in advertisements. Additionally, former cricketer Suresh Raina was questioned by the ED in the same 1xBet case.

The 1xBet India website claims to offer a wide array of sports betting options for registered users. It lists various games such as the Aviator Game Online, cricket betting, and online casino slots, accepting bets through Telegram payments on sports events including football, basketball, cricket, tennis, and e-sports.

In light of ongoing investigations into alleged financial misconduct, the company has withdrawn its services from the UK, the US, Russia, Spain, and France.

Bollywood actor Gajraj Rao is currently celebrating the success of his latest film, “Jolly LLB 3.” In a recent social media post, he reflected on his memorable first encounter with co-star Ram Kapoor, sharing a heartwarming anecdote from 14 years ago.

A Memorable Encounter

Rao expressed his admiration for Kapoor, stating, “Ram Kapoor is not just an actor; he is an outstanding actor — a human cyclone. His charismatic personality can take over any room, any film set.”

Recalling his early impressions, he said, “I first noticed him around 25 years ago in Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding and later in Sudhir Mishra’s Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, where I had a small cameo alongside Saurabh Shukla. A few years later, I watched him in Motwane’s Udaan and instantly became a fan of his craft.”

The First Meeting

Gajraj Rao detailed their first meeting, which occurred during a promotional shoot for Kapoor’s popular TV show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain in 2011. “I was thrilled — here I was, about to direct one of my favourite actors and one of the biggest TV stars of that era. But instead of a warm smile, I got cold, distant glances from Ram.”

He noted that while his co-star Sakshi Tanwar was cooperative and open to ideas for the TVC, Kapoor was not. “After the first shot, he firmly told me he would perform only the way Ekta Kapoor, the producer, had visualised his character — not the way I was explaining. Suddenly, I was in a tight spot, with the entire unit staring at me. For a moment, I felt like Premnath facing Pran in Bobby.”

Overcoming Embarrassment

Rao reminisced about his feelings of embarrassment, saying, “I nearly surrendered but then gathered courage and politely requested Ram to give me one option to take — the version I had already discussed with Sony’s marketing head, Mr. Danish Khan, during our pre-production meeting.” Ultimately, after much persuasion, Rao revealed, “Ram reluctantly agreed.”

After finishing that take, Rao silently cursed his situation, promising himself never to work with Kapoor again. However, ten minutes later, he felt a tap on his shoulder. “It was Ram. He admitted, with disarming honesty, that after watching the monitor, he realised my interpretation was indeed correct.” Rao praised Kapoor’s grace, stating, “And just like that, the man I had judged arrogant all morning transformed into the most collaborative and graceful actor on set.” The day proceeded smoothly, with the promos succeeding and the show becoming a hit.
