Actress Zareen Khan recently took to social media to share an important personal update—her mother has been admitted to the hospital. In a heartfelt message on her Instagram Stories, she wrote, “Mom admitted to the hospital. Please keep her in your prayers (sic).”

While Zareen hasn’t provided further details regarding her mother’s health, she has made headlines for other reasons as well. She recently shared a video on Instagram addressing the unsettling comments she receives from netizens on her posts. The ‘Hate Story 3’ actress explained, “Hello everyone. Is this happening to you too? The moment I post something, such comments start flooding in. People post water and peach emojis; some write ‘service available’, ‘boys come over’, or even ‘need a boyfriend, alone at home.’”

She expressed her frustration, stating, “It doesn’t matter what I share; people find a way to post disgusting remarks. Some comments are so filthy, it’s shocking.” Zareen also captioned her post, asking, “Yeh kya chakkar hai…. Koi samjhaao please. Aur kya aap logon ke saath bhi yeh ho raha hai? On the work front, Zareen made her debut in the short drama space with “Phir Se Restart.” She emphasized that the shoot was swift, and she had the opportunity to portray herself in the show. Reflecting on her experience with Pocket TV’s ‘Phir Se Restart’, she remarked, “This was my first time working in a vertical short drama format. The whole experience was really fun.”

Notably, the film’s crew previously shot a spectacular song featuring an impressive 1,000 dancers. This grand sequence was filmed in Mysore on Vinayaka Chavithi, a day when many opted for a break. The song, choreographed by the renowned Jani Master, showcases Ram Charan in a stunning setting.

Oscar winner Emma Stone revealed that she used a “beautiful” stage name for six months after learning she couldn’t utilize her birth name, Emily Stone, while pursuing her career in Hollywood.

Choosing a Stage Name

During her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the 36-year-old actress shared, “I actually adopted a stage name for, I would say, like six months. Because the Screen Actors Guild, it’s like the Business Bureau. You can only have one person with that name.”

At just 16, Stone decided to call herself Riley for a brief period. “So I was Riley Stone, which is a beautiful name,” she added.

However, Stone found it challenging to adjust to her new name during her work. She recounted an experience: “I did an episode, like a guest part, on Malcolm in the Middle, and they kept going like: ‘Riley! Riley!’ And I had no idea who they were talking to. Truly. And I was like: ‘I cannot be Riley.’ Like, it’s such a … It came out of nowhere.”

Eventually, Stone opted for Emma Stone, as it was reminiscent of her real name. “So I then changed it to ‘Emma’ because it’s close enough to ‘Emily’,” she noted.

The Oscar-winner has expressed a desire to revert to Emily, citing confusion. She mentioned to The Hollywood Reporter, “When I get to know them, people that I work with do (call me Emily). It’s just because my name was taken (by another actress). Then I freaked out a couple of years ago. For some reason, I was like: ‘I can’t do it anymore. Just call me Emily.’”

When asked if she would correct a fan who mistakenly called her Emily instead of Emma, the actress replied, “No. That would be so nice. I would like to be Emily.”

Veteran singer and actress Ila Arun is heartbroken over the loss of her brother, Piyush Pandey.

Well-known comedian and character artiste Karunakaran, celebrated for his impactful roles in numerous Tamil and Telugu blockbusters, has recently revealed that there was a time when he contemplated leaving the film industry.

Karunakaran, who plays a pivotal role in director Praveen K’s investigative thriller ‘Aaryan’, featuring Vishnu Vishal and Shraddha Srinath in lead roles, shared this during a recent press conference.

Struggles and Turning Points

During his interaction with the media, Karunakaran stated, “I didn’t plan to take a break. It happened all by itself. I will tell you the truth because you ask. My first hit in Tamil cinema was ‘Kalakalappu’. After that, I had ‘Pizza’, ‘Soothu Kavvum’, ‘Jigarthanda’, ‘Indru Netru Naalai’, and ‘Yaamirukka Bayamey’, all of which were blockbusters. So, I thought cinema would be like this.”

He further reflected, “It was only after this that I realised that there will be ups and downs in everybody’s careers. Vishnu (Vishnu Vishal) knows well. There have been several occasions when I had decided to quit the film industry. I wanted to leave cinema. That was because the treatment you get when you succeed and the treatment you get when you have a downfall is different. I wanted to leave films but it was Vishnu Vishal who convinced me to stay, saying, ‘Please continue to act. You are a good artiste. It will be like this in cinema. Some films will do well. Some won’t. So, please don’t go.’”

Encouragement from Friends

Karunakaran mentioned that Vishnu Vishal supported him by casting him in two of his upcoming projects, including ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’.

“Now, I have several projects lined up including G D Naidu, in which I play an important role. Looks like I am comfortably placed for the next two to three years and that I am here to stay,” he added.

For those unaware, ‘Aaryan’, which has already received clearance from the Censor Board, is set to release on October 31 this year.
