Inspiration Behind the Story
The first part of the political series is partly inspired by events in Bihar during the 1990s, particularly when Lalu Prasad Yadav appointed his homemaker wife, Rabri Devi, as his successor. Season 1 covers the period from 1995 to 1999, drawing from real-life events and figures such as Ranvir Sena, left-wing militants, Naxalite groups, and the Fodder Scam.
Season 2, set in mid-1999, draws inspiration from events like the Shilpi-Gautam Murder and the 2000 Bihar Legislative Assembly election. The third season continued to explore real-life incidents, including the Jitan Manjhi episode.
