Scarlett Johansson Reveals Daughter’s Desire for ‘Outrageous’ Marie Antoinette Gown!

Hollywood actress and director Scarlett Johansson recently shared a delightful story about her 11-year-old daughter, Rose, who expressed her desire for a “Marie Antoinette gown.”

During her appearance on the Busy This Week podcast, Scarlett revealed, “My daughter … asked for a Marie Antoinette gown.”

An incredibly talented dressmaker from Ukraine, who specializes in opera costumes, created a magnificent two-measure full opera-style dress featuring a hoop skirt and corset for Rose.

Scarlett described the gown as “outrageous,” mentioning that it was designed to be adjustable so Rose could wear it for years. “She still puts it on and she looks so cute,” she added.

The dress held special significance for Rose, as Johansson revealed that she wore it to her mother’s wedding. “It was really spectacular. She had her little dress on, then she was like, ‘Change me now.’ And I was like, in the middle of the wedding, I’m like, ‘We’ll be right back. We have a costume change for Rose,’” Scarlett recounted.

In another discussion about motherhood, the actress noted that it hasn’t significantly altered her work life. Speaking to OK! magazine, she said, “I have a job that’s very advantageous in that way. I can parent and then go do the scene and go back and parent. There’s a bit of back and forth, but it works.”

Johansson acknowledged that while her approach to work may not have changed yet, it might in the future. “Again, it’s a job that works with you. I have a freedom that others don’t, so I’m grateful,” she mentioned.

Determined to be a positive influence, Scarlett emphasized the importance of setting a good example for her daughter. “I’m not sure how much of an impact it’s making right now, but absolutely, in the future, I want her to know and absorb the lesson of working hard, going for your dreams and making it happen.”
