Veteran actor Anupam Kher expressed his excitement after encountering another legend of Indian cinema, Kamal Haasan, at the airport.
In a recent social media post, Kher shared that they spent nearly an hour in the airport lounge, discussing a wide array of topics including world cinema, life lessons, favourite books, and even the iconic superstar Rajinikanth.
Kher, a long-time admirer of Haasan’s craft, reflected on the influence Haasan’s powerful performances have had on his own acting journey.
Sharing a photo with Haasan on Instagram, Kher wrote, “Was delighted to meet one of the FINEST actors of Indian Cinema #KamalHassan ji at the Delhi Airport! Have been an admirer of his craft and varied performances for years. Have learnt so much from him as an actor. His list of great performances is countless! We sat in the airport lounge for almost an hour.”
He continued, “In that one hour it seemed we spoke about a lifetime! So many topics—world cinema, #KBalachander sir, life lessons, favourite books, and of course the great #RajniKanth sir! It was a RICH conversation! Thank you, sir, for your wisdom, warmth and appreciation! Love, respect and prayers always! 🙏❤️ @ikamalhaasan #Actors #Airport.”
Despite being two of the most respected figures in the industry, Kher and Haasan have not collaborated on any projects thus far.
On the work front, Kher is set to reunite with Boman Irani for the much-anticipated sequel to their acclaimed film “Khosla Ka Ghosla.”
Ranvir Shorey, who played a significant role in the original, is also expected to return for the sequel.
Umesh Bisht, known for projects like Raghav Juyal’s “Gyaarah Gyaarah” and Sanya Malhotra’s “Pagglait,” is directing the upcoming film.
