Announcement Video Highlights
Earlier this year, actor Dhanush released an announcement video for ‘Dayangaram,’ which garnered attention for its humorous content. It features VJ Siddhu taking his father to meet the film’s producer, Ishari K Ganesh, the founder and chancellor of Vels University.
In the video, both father and son wait alongside parents seeking admissions for their children at the university. Siddhu’s dad, eager for his son’s success as a director, boosts his confidence by mentioning that he has a complete script and a video to present to the producer.
When they finally meet the producer, he is preoccupied with signing documents and inquires about Siddhu’s school marks. This prompts Siddhu to question why the producer is asking for his academic performance while they are there to request a filmmaking opportunity.
Siddhu’s dad interjects, urging the Chancellor to focus on Siddhu’s potential, stating, “Forget the marks. My son will definitely make a great movie. Please give him a chance.”
Realizing the true purpose of their visit, the Chancellor playfully asks Siddhu’s dad why a son would bring his father to request a chance to make a film, rather than college admission. Siddhu then impresses the producer by showing him a video.
Ultimately, the producer expresses his decision to give Siddhu a chance, but a mix-up occurs when Siddhu’s friends answer his phone call. Their comical responses lead the producer to reconsider his decision.
Siddhu later meets the producer in person, pleading not to lose the opportunity due to his friends’ antics. The producer notes that the story is promising but suggests a title that should convey “bayangaram” or fear-inducing. The video concludes with Siddhu revealing the film’s title as ‘Dayangaram.’
