Hollywood star Timothee Chalamet is indulging in some serious retail therapy. The actor reportedly spent over $4,000 on chocolates during a lavish trip to London.

It’s been reported that the 29-year-old actor, known for his role as the quirky founder of the Wonka Chocolate Factory in the upcoming family-fantasy film, visited the opulent Harrods department store. He purchased $4,000 worth of boxed chocolates from top food brand Venchi.

A source shared with The Sun newspaper, “Timothee loves the chocolate. He wanted to buy as much of it as possible. He plans to give it as Christmas gifts to friends and family in the US. He didn’t mind splashing the cash as he’s had a successful year.”

Additionally, it was mentioned that Timothee took the delectable haul back to his $4,500-a-night penthouse suite at the upscale five-star hotel, The Emory London, where four staff members helped load the boxes onto a baggage trolley.

The star, who has been dating ‘The Kardashdigihunt’ star Kylie Jenner, 28, since 2023, was in London to appear on BBC’s ‘The Graham Norton Show’ to promote his new film, “Marty Supreme.” Set in the 1950s, this ping-pong drama features Timothee as Marty Mauser and is loosely inspired by the true story of table tennis champion Marty Reisman.

Although the movie won’t be released until late December, Timothee has already received accolades for his performance. On January 3, he is scheduled to be honored with the Spotlight Actor of the Year Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival held at the Palm Springs Convention Centre.

Festival Chairman Nachhattar Singh Chandi lauded Chalamet’s work in “Marty Supreme,” labeling it a career-defining achievement. He emphasized that Chalamet’s portrayal of Marty Mauser encapsulates the intensity of ambition along with the vulnerability of human longing, calling it one of the year’s standout performances.
