Hollywood star Sydney Sweeney has recently faced some controversy related to her appearance for a clothing line, but she also has valuable advice for aspiring actors aiming for success in the industry.
Advice for Aspiring Actors
Sweeney believes her insights could be beneficial for young talents hoping to make it big in Hollywood. She shared with ‘People’ magazine, “Honestly, do it as long as you love it. You gotta love it a lot, because it’s really hard, and you’re going to be told ‘no’ more than you’re gonna be told ‘yes’.”
She added, “You have to deal with rejection, and it’s a lot. So if you love it to your core, then none of that matters because you’re getting to do what you love.”
A Look at Her Career
Sweeney’s journey in acting began in 2009. She took on minor roles in well-known television series such as ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘Pretty Little Liars’, gradually carving a niche for herself in the late 2010s. Notable roles that contributed to her rising fame include performances in ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’, ‘Sharp Objects’, and ‘Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood’. She gained significant recognition for her portrayal of Cassie Howard in the hit series ‘Euphoria’.
Currently, Sweeney appears in ‘The White Lotus’, and her upcoming projects include ‘Immaculate’, ‘Anyone but You’, ‘Madame Web’, and ‘Christy’. She also holds production credits for several projects, including ‘The Housemaid’. In her latest role, adapted from Freida McFadden’s 2022 psychological thriller, she portrays a struggling young woman who eagerly takes a job as a housemaid for a wealthy couple, played by Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar.
Auditioning Experience
Sweeney shared that one aspect of the journey toward success that stands out as a favorite is auditioning. She remarked, “I loved auditioning, because I was getting to try out all these different characters.”
Upcoming Release
‘The Housemaid’ is set to hit theaters on December 19, 2025.
