Sohail Khan urges bike riders to wear helmets: ‘Safety is better than regret’

Actor and filmmaker Sohail Khan has an important message for all bike riders: always wear helmets while riding.

Sohail acknowledged that he sometimes skips wearing a helmet due to his claustrophobia, but emphasized that this should not serve as an excuse.

In a post on his Instagram, he shared a picture of himself on a bike and wrote, “I would like to request all the bike riders please wear helmets. I avoid wearing them at times as I feel claustrophobic but that’s no excuse to not wear one.”

### His Passion for Riding

Sohail has a deep-seated passion for riding that started in his childhood. He reminisced, saying, “Riding has always been my passion since childhood. It began with BMX cycles and now I ride bikes.”

### Tips for Safe Riding

Sohail also mentioned how he minimizes risks when riding without a helmet. He stated, “I mostly ride late nights when there is not much traffic to cut risks, and I do so at a slow pace with my car following me.”

He committed to overcoming his claustrophobia, promising fellow riders that he will wear a helmet more regularly and expressed his sincere apologies to traffic authorities. “My sincere apologies to the traffic authorities and I assure them that I will follow all the rules henceforth,” he shared.

Sohail praised those riders who consistently follow the rules and wear helmets. He concluded with a salute to them: “I salute all the riders for wearing their helmets at all times despite the discomfort as it is necessary for our safety. It is better to be safe than sorry. Once again, I am really sorry.”
