Ace cameraman Manoj Paramahamsa, one of the cinematographers behind the blockbuster film ‘They Call Him OG’ featuring actor Pawan Kalyan, has expressed his gratitude in a heartfelt note. He mentioned that while he always regarded Vijay as the most hardworking star, Pawan Kalyan surpassed expectations during the making of OG.
In his post on X, Manoj wrote, “Time for my thanksgiving for the small part I played in the film #TheyCallHimOG.” He began by thanking the various technicdigihunt involved in the project, before directing his appreciation to the lead actor, Pawan Kalyan.
Manoj reflected on their time together: “Pawan Kalyan sir – after working with you earlier, OG truly felt like seeing your Viswaroopam. Those 16 days were a roller-coaster. Back-to-back action blocks, emotional scenes, mass elevation sequences, short flights for official work, even signing documents with blood and a katana in one hand while learning Japanese lines! Too much to ask of anyone – but you delivered it all with ease, and your determination shows your passion for the art of cinema.”
He admitted that he had always thought Tamil star Vijay was the hardest worker, but Pawan Kalyan had taken his dedication to another level for OG. “Thank you for trusting me again with your time. Beyond cinema, I deeply respect the way you balance responsibility towards those who trust your governance – yet we still wish to see your Viswaroopam on screen again.”
Manoj also commended the film’s director, Sujeeth. He stated, “If a film looks visually stunning, credit goes to the director. You decide the time of day, you fight for the budget. You went further: mock shoots for every sequence, stunt visualisation and pre-visualisation for action blocks, mood boards, lighting cues, and references inspired by real art. Any DoP would have delivered strong results with such prep and vision for OG.”
He praised the dedication of the team: “Hats off to you, Udhay, Bannu, Unreal Engine pre-visualisation artist, and the entire AD team – fabulous work! As a strong believer in preparation and pre-visualisation, I was happily surprised. For this 16-day hero’s schedule, you prepped for over six months, showcasing your perseverance! This well-deserved success is something you should cherish.”
