The storyline was adapted from Manju Kapur’s 2011 novel “Custody.”
The plot centers on dentist Ishita Iyer and Punjabi businessman Raman Bhalla, who are neighbors in Delhi. Ishita struggles with infertility and faces challenges in finding a suitable partner, while Raman navigates life as a divorcee and a single parent to his 4-year-old daughter, Ruhi. Their lives converge as Ruhi and Ishita form a heartwarming bond, ultimately leading to a marriage between Raman and Ishita for Ruhi’s sake.
