Vietnamese Sword Fighting Pros Join Forces to Train Stunt Artists for Nikhil Siddhartha’s ‘Swayambhu’!

Sources in the industry suggest that sword fighting experts from Vietnam were flown in to train hundreds of stunt artists for the climax sequence of director Bharat Krishnamachari’s historical action epic “Swayambhu.” The film features actor Nikhil Siddhartha in the lead, alongside Samyuktha and Nabha Natesh.

It is a well-known fact that Nikhil Siddhartha traveled to Vietnam to train in martial arts for the film. Notably, the young actor became so skilled in swordplay that he could wield a sword in either hand. However, it’s been revealed that the training wasn’t limited to Nikhil alone; the supporting cast also received instruction in sword fighting from the experts.

According to a source, “A team of Vietnamese sword fighting experts was brought in to train the stunt artists who shot for the film. Several hundred artists were part of the grand climax sequence, which was filmed over a period of 60 days at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad.”

Produced by Bhuvan and Sreekar under Pixel Studios and presented by Tagore Madhu, “Swayambhu” stands as one of Nikhil’s most significant projects to date.

On Monday, the makers revealed that the monumental production has officially wrapped its shoot. After an intense two-year journey and 170 days of extensive filming, the team announced the film’s completion with pride.

Positioned as an epic that celebrates India’s rich history and timeless glory, “Swayambhu” is set to release worldwide on February 13 next year, coinciding with Maha Shivaratri.

Describing the experience as both challenging and exhilarating, Nikhil shares insights into the journey in a release date announcement video titled “Rise Of Swayambhu.” This video offers viewers a glimpse into the world-building and grand production of the film.

Rooted in India’s cultural heritage, “Swayambhu” will explore untold chapters of the past—stories that extend far beyond traditional narratives of kings and wars, centering on the saga of a formidable warrior whose valor shaped an era.

In the video, Nikhil introduced his horse, Maruthi, and highlighted the exceptional technical team behind this magnum opus. The actor underwent a complete physical transformation and rigorous training to portray his demanding role authentically and intensely. He has also dubbed in his own voice for the Hindi version to enhance the narrative’s authenticity.

The film features Samyuktha and Nabha Natesh as the female leads. Visual maestro KK Senthil Kumar is handling cinematography, with music composed by the acclaimed Ravi Basrur. Production design is crafted by M. Prabhaharan and Raveendra, who have meticulously shaped the film’s grand visual landscape.
