Actress Anikha Surendran recently shared her delightful surprise when Malayalam superstar Mammootty invited her on stage during a pre-release event for his film ‘Kalamkaval’ and asked to take a picture with her.

Anikha, who portrayed Mammootty’s daughter in the film ‘The Great Father’ directed by Haneef Adeni, expressed her joy at this unexpected gesture, stating she experienced “a full mental breakdown on the way up to the stage.”

She took to her Instagram to post a video capturing this sweet moment, visibly moved by the encounter. Anikha wrote, “Never in my wildest dreams did I think Mammooka was gonna randomly invite me on stage and ASK ME FOR A PICTURE!?”

Continuing her heartfelt expression, she added, “…(I) had a full mental breakdown on the way up to the stage. How is life even real? Don’t know where I’d be if I wasn’t ‘Mammokkede molu’ (Mammookka’s daughter). Forever grateful.”

Additionally, Anikha wished the ‘Kalamkaval’ team the very best, saying, “Thank you so much for having me and all the best to team Kalamkaval. Excited!”

In the viral video clip, Mammootty spots Anikha in the audience and gestures for her to join him on stage. This touching moment has won the hearts of fans and film enthusiasts alike.

For those unfamiliar, ‘Kalamkaval,’ directed by Jithin K Jose, features Malayalam icons Mammootty and Vinayakan in pivotal roles and is set to release on December 5 this year. The film has been approved for release with a U/A certificate by the Censor Board.

The teaser for ‘Kalamkaval’ has generated significant buzz among fans ever since its release. It opens with a door being knocked, followed by a Tamilian questioning the identity of a newcomer. The teaser then shifts to scenes of the lead actors, with Vinayakan looking serious as a police officer, while Mammootty appears calm and collected.

The film’s shooting wrapped up in November last year. The screenplay is crafted by Jithin K Jose and Jishnu Sreekumar, with editing by Praveen Prabhakar and cinematography by Faisal Ali. Music is composed by Mujeeb Majeed, and the action sequences are choreographed by Action Santhosh.

Fans are especially excited as the filmmakers promise that Mammootty will portray a character unlike any he has played before.

In an emotional tribute on the occasion of his film ‘Hit 2’ completing three years, director Sailesh Kolanu expressed heartfelt gratitude to his entire crew, especially to the film’s lead actor, Adivi Sesh. He emphasized that he would always remember the immense support Adivi provided during the film’s production.

Sailesh took to his X timeline to share his thoughts, stating, “Can’t believe it’s been three years! #HIT2 taught me so much. Ten days before the start of the shoot, I lost my brother.”

He recalled the challenging time, noting that his wife, Swathi, was in the advanced stages of her pregnancy.

“Swathi was in her ninth month of pregnancy carrying Abhay, and there was no way I was gonna give her my grieving energy. The only thing that kept me going was being on my set, with my team. Can’t thank them enough for giving me the energy to keep going,” he wrote.

Sailesh further shared that a month into the shoot, his son was born, bringing him comfort during a difficult phase. “Felt like my brother came back to me. I vividly remember every team member on the HIT2 set genuinely feeling happy for me. I am indebted to each and every member of the Hit2 team.”

He extended his appreciation to Adivi Sesh, who played the lead role, and to actor Nani, who presented the film.

For those unfamiliar, ‘Hit 2’ is the second installment of the successful franchise ‘Hit,’ written and directed by Dr. Sailesh Kolanu and produced by Prashanti Tipirneni, with actor Nani presenting the film.

Veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha remembered the legendary Dev Anand on his 14th death anniversary.

Shatrughan shared two throwback stills from their collaborations, “Prem Pujari” and “Gambler,” on his official X handle (previously known as Twitter). He expressed that Dev Anand remains one of the most stylish heroes in the industry to this day.

“Remembering Dev Saheb with love, fondness & an attitude of gratitude. #DevAnand is one of the most stylish & evergreen heroes till date. (sic)” was the heartfelt message in his post. He also conveyed that the wisdom shared by Dev Anand continues to resonate with him.

About “Prem Pujari” and “Gambler”

“Prem Pujari,” directed by Dev Anand, also features Waheeda Rehman, Prem Chopra, Madan Puri, and Amrish Puri in pivotal roles. The film tells the story of Ramdev Bakshi, a peace-loving army officer who defies orders, leading to his court-martial and eventual disappearance.

Their second collaboration, “Gambler,” directed by Amarjeet, stars Dev Anand alongside Zaheeda and Shatrughan Sinha.

Dev Anand passed away in London at the age of 88 on December 3, 2011, reportedly due to a cardiac arrest.

Paying tribute to the iconic actor, Jackie Shroff also shared scenes from the 1982 drama “Swami Dada,” directed by Dev Anand. The film, which marked Jackie’s debut, features Mithun Chakraborty, Naseeruddin Shah, Christine O’Neil, Padmini Kohlapure, and Dev Anand.

Actress Elnaaz Norouzi shares her thoughts on stepping into the adult-comedy genre with “Mastiii 4,” expressing some initial hesitation due to the audience’s sharp reactions to bold humour. However, their escapade takes an unexpected turn when their wives also decide to break the rules in their own way.

Elnaaz began her career as a model at the age of 14 in Germany. In 2017, she made her debut in the Pakistani film “Maan Jao Na,” playing the role of a young girl named Raania.
