There are moments when commercial considerations or practical realities begin to influence decisions, leading to an internal rebellion. “No,” he asserted, is the voice that emerges during such times.

Carving His Own Path

Shahid emphasized his belief in forging his own way. “I feel that I’ve always been the kind of person who would, if everybody’s going right, I’ll say, let’s just go left. And many times it’s not good. Sometimes it’s like, arre yaar, right hi dekhta (I should have gone right). But that’s where the adventure is, you know, that’s where the challenge is, that’s where originality is, that’s where risk is.”

High Risk, High Reward

He further disclosed that his career has been a mix of risks and rewards. “Whenever I’ve played safe, it’s somehow not given me the result that when I have been experimental has,” he noted. Shahid believes that high risk often leads to high returns, and his experiences have reinforced this belief.

Director Michael Showalter chose Pfeiffer as the first choice for the role, captivated by her star power and natural fit for the narrative. “Michelle is one of the great actresses of all time,” Showalter commented.

He described Claire as the central figure and anchor of the movie and her family. Claire has been preparing for the holiday for months and eagerly anticipates her children’s arrival. She also hopes they will act on the hints she’s been dropping to enter her in the Holiday Mom contest sponsored by her favorite daytime talk show, ‘The Zazzy Tims Show.’

“Stepping into Vishal sir’s musical world was both an honour and a refreshing shift in perspective. His music asks for two things at once—vulnerability and precision—and he somehow makes that balance feel completely organic. What I loved most was the freedom he gave me. He didn’t over-explain anything; he shared a feeling, a world, and trusted me to find my own truth within it. As a singer, that kind of space is rare and incredibly inspiring,” Armaan commented.

Mahish Malhotra’s Debut as Producer

“Gustaakh Ishq” also heralds designer Manish Malhotra’s debut as a producer under his home banner, Stage5 Productions.

In an exclusive chat, protagonist Vijay Varma highlighted Manish’s ability to elevate his character, Pappan, who otherwise represents a ‘poor’ background, through his choice of costumes.

“His contribution was very important because the film is set in a place, a class, and an environment where there are barely any resources,” Vijay explained.

“My character in the movie is poor and struggling to survive. I thought the phatichar (broke) would naturally look troubled and worn-out. But since this is a Manish Malhotra production, he decided to present the phatichar with a certain swag. My character doesn’t have much, but whatever little he owns, he wears with attitude. That’s Manish’s contribution, because he truly understands cinema,” Vijay shared.

Actress Ananya Pandey has expressed her admiration for her co-star Kartik Aaryan in their upcoming project, “Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri.” She shared that working with him consistently brings her joy.

Comfort on Set

During a media conference in Jaipur, Ananya emphasized her comfort around Kartik. She remarked, “I feel very comfortable around Kartik, and I have always felt comfortable. I feel very taken care of when he is around, especially on the set, because I know he is looking out for the film, not just for himself or his character, but for the entire film.”

Ananya noted that Kartik has a knack for fostering a fun atmosphere on set, allowing everyone the freedom to voice their opinions. Clooney revealed in an interview with The Sunday Times, “I got to the final test for a role in ‘Thelma & Louise.’ And, Brad got it.”

He added, “I didn’t watch ‘Thelma & Louise’ for years because I was annoyed. The part launched his career in film. He was doing sitcoms and crap before, so when it was the thing that could’ve launched me?”

In “Thelma & Louise,” J.D. is a rugged vagabond who ignites a brief romance with Thelma, portrayed by Geena Davis. This film solidified Pitt’s status as a bankable star. “We actually talked till 6-6:30 in the morning. It was the best night that I spent with him because I feel that he should always be able to come to me. We’ll sleep later. We don’t sleep overnight on the shooting day. It’s okay.”
