  • Miley Cyrus Jokes Her Engagement Ring Was a ‘Black Friday Bargain’

Miley Cyrus Jokes Her Engagement Ring Was a ‘Black Friday Bargain’

Grammy-winner Miley Cyrus recently joked that her engagement ring from fiancé Maxx Morando was a “Black Friday deal,” following his proposal during their recent trip to Japan.

    Maxx’s Timing Questioned

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host humorously suggested that Maxx might have waited until Christmas to propose, implying it would save him from having to think of a Christmas gift. Cyrus responded, “This was (a) Black Friday deal, baby,” adding playfully, “It wasn’t, but he was smart that way. It might have been. I’m not sure.”

    Cyrus’ Grinch Moment

Cyrus then shared that she’s not particularly excited about the upcoming holidays, expressing her disdain for Christmas due to a deep-seated issue with paper. She stated, “I’m known as a little bit of a grinch because I have a qualm with Christmas. I hate paper… Like, looking at that [paper on your desk] makes me want to vomit.”

Cyrus elaborated on her discomfort, saying, “The real problem is people have dry hands and they touch paper, and then it’s Christmas, and it’s cold; everyone’s hands are dry and they’re all touching paper. When someone sends me a lovely letter, I don’t even open it.”

    Keeping It Clean

She added a humorous take on her engagement, saying, “That’s why I got engaged. I make my fiancé open all the packages outside.”

On a lighter note, Cyrus reassured fans that she wouldn’t mind signing her next wedding certificate, as those are typically on “waxed” paper. She explained, “This thing is waxed paper, like anything that’s got a smooth surface, that’s better, and from the last marriage, I think I remember that the paper is waxed.”

Seeking Help for Her Paper Aversion

Cyrus also touched on her paper aversion, saying, “I love text message. No paper. Email, no paper. Phone call, no paper. It’s the … eh, I can’t even talk about it … It’s getting worse, so there does need to be some sort of intervention, and I am going to look into some sort of EMDR, being hypnotized about it because it’s affecting my everyday life.”

  • Shah Rukh Khan Reminisces About Bowling in London During Iconic ‘DDLJ’ Shoot

Shah Rukh Khan Reminisces About Bowling in London During Iconic ‘DDLJ’ Shoot

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol recently unveiled a bronze statue of their iconic characters, Raj and Simran, at Leicester Square. This event celebrated the 30th anniversary of the beloved film “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.”

During a media interaction in London, Shah Rukh reminisced about some fond memories from the film’s shoot, particularly the nights spent bowling. He highlighted that filming abroad back then was a unique experience.

“It was very exciting at that time to go abroad and shoot; it still is, but you know, those were the initial days,” he recalled. “For me, Dilwale was really the longest-running film shot abroad, in Switzerland and in London, so it was really exciting. After that, we have come and shot a lot of films in the UK, but this was like the first of its kind.”

Shah Rukh also reflected on their bowling outings post-shoot, mentioning, “We were away from Central London; we used to go bowling at night, which was new for us. Small areas had been designated for bowling and shopping on the outskirts. It was a very exciting time to roam around in London.”

He expressed surprise at the film’s lasting impact, stating, “I’m very fortunate to have been part of cinema like this and very grateful. Honestly, none of us had any idea DDLJ would become this phenomenon in people’s hearts. I am sure Adi (Aditya Chopra) and everyone felt it would be a good film, but I don’t think anyone could have imagined the legacy it has today.”

  • Discover George Clooney’s Surprising Journey Before He Became a Hollywood Superstar!

Discover George Clooney’s Surprising Journey Before He Became a Hollywood Superstar!

Before becoming a Hollywood icon, English actor George Clooney once worked as a shoe salesman, dealing with various challenges, including tending to the foot corns of elderly customers.

    A Memorable Job Experience

At the age of 18, Clooney recalled his days as a shoe salesman on “Live With Kelly and Mark.” He humorously noted that he often had “a lot of 80-year-olds” presenting their feet right in front of him, exclaiming about their “hammertoe.”

Clooney, who gained fame as hospital medical technician Ace on E/R in 1984, shared, “I sold ladies’ shoes at a department store. For those of you ladies in the audience, it’s a miserable job for us!”

Working at McAlpin’s in Cincinnati, Clooney sold numerous support shoes meant for elderly women. “I was 18, and there would be a lot of 80-year-olds, like, ‘That’s a hammertoe!’” he said.

    The Corn Treatment

He described a unique aspect of the job: “We had this thing – if old ladies came in with a corn or bunion, you had a little plastic corn, like a Mister Potato Head. You’d spray their foot with blue powder on the corn, put it in the stretching shoe that had holes, and then stretch the corn hole, basically.”

    A Dream Deferred

In another part of the interview, the Oscar-winning actor reminisced about his childhood aspiration of becoming a professional baseball player. “I wanted to be a baseball player. I was back in Cincinnati, which is close to Kentucky, where my family worked, and I was just back there a month ago.”

Clooney recalled that the owner of the Cincinnati Reds showed up and brought him a contract for a day, making him an official Reds player. “We made the play-offs this year – I just want to say – and he also read my scouting report.”

However, the scouting report highlighted Clooney’s limitations, making him realize he was right to abandon his baseball dreams. “It was like, he’s got decent speed, he can kind of hit, and he’s got the worst arm. I’d been telling all my friends how I was going to be a professional player, and then you read that scouting report. Clearly, I was not ever going to be a professional baseball player.”

Clooney’s reflections reveal a fascinating glimpse into his journey, from selling shoes to Hollywood stardom.
