As the film “Pushpa: The Rule” marks a year since its release in cinemas, actress Sreeleela fondly celebrated one year of the song “Kissik” from the film, sharing a treasure trove of memories featuring Allu Arjun and moments from the sets.
Sreeleela took to Instagram, posting a variety of images and videos from the song’s set, some of which included Arjun and director Sukumar. “1 year of KISSIK #GRATEFUL,” she captioned her post, accompanied by the track playing in the background.
“Pushpa 2: The Rule” is set to release in 2024. This sequel to “Pushpa: The Rise” is the second installment in the Pushpa film series, featuring Allu Arjun in the titular role alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Sunil, and Rao Ramesh. The storyline follows Pushpa Raj, a labourer who transforms into a red sandalwood smuggler while confronting escalating threats from rivals, including SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
The film has shattered several box office records, grossing over Rs. 1,800 crore worldwide. This achievement makes it the second highest-grossing film in India, the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024, the second-highest-grossing Telugu film of all time, and the third-highest-grossing Indian film globally.
On the career front, Sreeleela is set to star in director Sudha Kongara’s highly anticipated period film, “Parasakthi,” which features actor Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. The actress has lent her voice for her portions in the film. The makers confirmed on October 21 this year that filming had been completed, following the wrap-up of the Pollachi schedule in August.
Originally referred to as #SK25, representing Sivakarthikeyan’s 25th film, “Parasakthi” boasts music by G V Prakash and cinematography by the experienced Ravi K Chandran. Stunt sequences are handled by Supreme Sundar.
Sreeleela began her career as a child artist and made her lead debut in the 2019 film “Kiss.” She has since appeared in titles such as “Pelli SandaD,” “Dhamaka,” “Bhagavanth Kesari,” “Guntur Kaaram,” and “Mass Jathara.”
