Filmmaker Karan Johar has shared his excitement about director Aditya Dhar’s upcoming project, following the impressive success of his film “Dhurandhar.”

At a media event for India’s International Movement to Unite Nations (I.I.M.U.N.), Karan praised Aditya, expressing that he thoroughly enjoyed “Dhurandhar.” He was elated by its massive box office success and the widespread acclaim the film received. Karan mentioned he is eagerly looking forward to Aditya’s next venture. The teaser opens with a conversation between Adivi Sesh’s character and an accomplice. The accomplice questions him about his earlier statement, to which Sesh responds: “I said they messed with you. So, what’s wrong in messing with them?”

This exchange hints at Sesh’s character convincing Mrunal Thakur’s character to retaliate against someone who has wronged her.

Currently in Georgia filming for her upcoming show, Deepika has been sharing glimpses of her workation. She recently uploaded another video from her shoot at The Chronicle of Georgia, capturing moments of enjoyment on set.

In this post, she remarked, “Glimpse from today’s shoot at The Chronicle of Georgia Shoot. The monument sits at the top of a large set of stairs, overlooking the northern part of the city. There are 16 pillars that are between 30–35 meters tall and the top half features kings, queens, and heroes while the bottom part depicts stories from the life of Christ.”

Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she doesn’t enjoy watching herself on screen.

“No (I don’t watch my own films). I’ve never made something like Titanic—if I did, I would watch it. Once I was really drunk, I put on American Hustle. I was like, I wonder if I’m good at acting? I put it on, and I don’t remember what the answer is,” Lawrence shared while speaking to Leonardo DiCaprio for Variety.

Learning from a Stern Coach

The 35-year-old actress credits much of her acting knowledge to director David O. Russell, who helmed Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle, and Joy. She noted, “He taught me how to act, really. I want to be sensitive to the other actors who’ve worked with him. I know he’s tough. He can be really, really hard on people. For me, I don’t know if it was because I grew up doing sports, and so I felt like he was just a stern coach. ‘Do it loud,’ ‘Do it quieter,’ ‘That was bad,’ ‘Do it better.’ He was very straightforward with me.”

Reflecting on her early experiences, she stated, “I was 21 when I did Silver Linings and it felt alive. I never felt like he was yelling at me. I really don’t like being tiptoed around, like I’m an emotional landmine. I hate that.”

In a recent confession, the actress admitted that her old interviews make her feel “so embarrassing.” She revealed that her behavior during those interviews served as a “defence mechanism,” helping her understand why some parts of the public were “rejected” by her.

Lawrence explained, “Well, it is, or it was, my genuine personality, but it was also a defence mechanism. And so it was a defence mechanism, to just be like, ‘I’m not like that! I poop my pants every day!’ … I look at those interviews, and that person is annoying.”

Late star Dharmendra’s final film “Ikkis” has been postponed to January 1, following the blockbuster second weekend of the spy thriller “Dhurandhar.” Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, whose grandson Agastya Nanda stars in the film, shared his thoughts on the delay.

Release Schedule Changes

“Ikkis” was initially set to release on October 2, but this was later shifted. It was then slated for a Christmas release on December 25, alongside Kartik Aaryan’s romantic comedy drama “Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.” Now, it will have a solo release on January 1.

About the Film

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, this war drama is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal and revolves around the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 India–Pakistan War. The film marks Amitabh’s grandson Agastya Nanda’s big screen debut, featuring alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Simar Bhatia.

New Direction Venture

In addition to acting, Selvaraghavan will direct Mental Manadhil, featuring G.V. Prakash, a two-time National Award-winning music director, actor, and producer in the lead role. Actress Madhuri Jain will star opposite him in this romantic film, which will also include several prominent character actors in supporting roles.

Hollywood star Keira Knightley has revealed that she has only watched the Christmas classic Love Actually once and cannot recall any of her lines from the film. She finds it “weird” to see herself on screen, which is why she avoids revisiting the festive favorite.

The 40-year-old actress, who portrayed Juliet in the beloved 2003 rom-com, shared her thoughts during an appearance on the Dish from Waitrose podcast. She stated, “I have [only seen it once], yeah, if you’re in it. I mean, it would be weird if – I was watching my own, yeah. I’ve seen it once.”
