  • Arjun Rampal shares his journey and challenges in moving from modeling to acting.

Arjun Rampal shares his journey and challenges in moving from modeling to acting.

Actor Arjun Rampal recently opened up about the challenges he faced in his transition from modelling to acting.

    A Candid Reflection

In an honest conversation, Arjun shared the struggles, learning curves, and determination that characterized his journey from the runway to the silver screen. Reflecting on his early days, he remarked, “When I transitioned from modelling to acting, it wasn’t smooth at all. Modelling trains you in a very specific environment; the camera sounds familiar, the commands are the same, and you condition yourself to react in a particular way.”

He recalled, “I remember watching my rushes for the first time from Moksha and feeling completely stiff. Acting demands the opposite of modelling; you have to forget the camera entirely and become the character. That shift took time. I’m grateful that people believed in me, gave me opportunities, and allowed me the space to grow. Those repeated chances made all the difference.”

    Career Milestones

Arjun Rampal made his acting debut with Rajiv Rai’s romantic film Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat in 2001 and has since built a career that spans over 40 films. Recently, he received acclaim for his role as ISI Major Iqbal in Dhurandhar.

Released on December 5, Dhurandhar also stars a notable cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.

    Gratitude for Support

A few days ago, Rampal expressed his gratitude after witnessing an overwhelming response to Dhurandhar. Sharing behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot, he wrote, “Ladies & Gentlemen, we were not ready for this. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this incredible love, support and acceptance you have given #dhurandhar.”

He added, “The day you narrated the film to me, I realised what an important story you wanted to unfold, in the uniquest narrative style. The level of research, the depth in all characters, and the creation of each character from their look to their attitudes. You surprised and kept surprising. But most importantly, you soaked up all the pressure while filming and never had a bad day. Thank you, Boiya. Love you.”

  • Sameera Reddy Reveals How Long Bananas Take to Ripen Naturally—A Week for Perfect Taste and Safety

Sameera Reddy Reveals How Long Bananas Take to Ripen Naturally—A Week for Perfect Taste and Safety

Actress Sameera Reddy recently revealed how long bananas actually take to ripen naturally.

On Thursday, the ‘De Dana Dan’ actress shared a video on her Instagram handle where she discussed the natural ripening process of bananas. Sameera emphasized the noticeable difference in taste and quality. She noted that the bananas, sourced from her backyard in Goa, required an entire week to ripen beautifully to a golden color because they were free from pesticides.

Reddy further mentioned her growing knowledge about the banana plant, including the uses of the banana flower and stem in everyday cooking. She raised a broader question regarding food safety, encouraging everyone to consider how safe our food really is, highlighting that a whole week to ripen naturally definitely gives one pause for thought.

In the video, Reddy expressed, “so sweet, the taste is so different. There are no pesticides in these bananas and that is why it took one week, one whole week to become this beautiful golden colour. These bananas are from our backyard in Goa and I’m really learning so much about how you can use the banana flower, the banana stem and so much about the plant itself.”

She also addressed her followers’ inquiries about the ripening time, saying, “Now the bananas that we get in the market spoil really fast and obviously they’ve been given pesticides. Food that we’re eating, how safe is it? Just a question here. A follower pointed this out, so here’s your answer. One week to ripen makes you wonder, right?”

In her video’s caption, the actress wrote, “Learning about growing fruits and veggies at home has really made me realize how much we don’t know of what’s going into the food we eat.”

Previously, Sameera Reddy shared another video, where she highlighted the benefits of banana stem water, stating it can help flush out toxins, reduce bloating, and support healthy digestion.

  • Bani J on How Her Role in ‘Four More Shots Please’ Inspires Open Conversations About Sexuality

Bani J on How Her Role in ‘Four More Shots Please’ Inspires Open Conversations About Sexuality

Actress and VJ Bani J, who portrays Umang in “Four More Shots Please,” has shared how her character has inspired many individuals to open up about their sexual preferences.

In an exclusive conversation, she revealed that she frequently receives messages from people expressing their gratitude.

When asked about the feedback she’s garnered over the years for her strong character, Bani stated, “Ever since I started essaying my role as Umang in the show, since season 1, my inbox has been flooded with messages and rainbow emoticons, and people have been coming out every single day, from across cultures and walks of life.”

She further explained, “There were so many questions initially, with people asking, ‘Oh my God, how do I do this?’ But then they saw the character of Umang and how she came out, especially because there is a clear ‘coming-out scene’ in the show.”

Bani emphasized the importance of Umang’s coming-out moment, along with the representation of a same-sex wedding in the series. She noted, “It offered people a platform to see something like this being represented on screen, something that had rarely been shown before. The depiction allowed viewers to envision their own experiences and realize that these are situations many people are genuinely going through.”

She elaborated, “Seeing such representation made it easier for audiences to relate and initiate conversations. The more one sees it, the more it becomes normalised. Over time, it helps people feel more comfortable, but normalization is the first step.”

Excitingly, Bani is preparing for the fourth and final season of “Four More Shots Please!” The show is set to premiere on the 19th of December.

Alongside Bani, the series features Kriti Kulhari, Maanvi Gagroo, Sayani Gupta, Prateik, Smita Patil, and Dino Morea.

  • Karan Johar reveals how he copes with online trolls targeting him and his family.

Karan Johar reveals how he copes with online trolls targeting him and his family.

Filmmaker Karan Johar has recently shared his thoughts on handling online trolls who target him and his family.

Speaking at India’s International Movement to United Nations (I.I.M.U.N), where he was announced as a member of their Board of Advisors, Karan discussed the importance of assessing criticism. He stated, “The important thing to realise is to understand whether the criticism coming your way is coming from a place of genuine analysis. When a critic writes about your work and has not appreciated it, but you know that he or she came to watch your film wanting to love it, and then did not love it, and wrote a critical piece, you have to recognize that this person means well.”

He further elaborated, “They did not like your film, and you must appreciate that criticism. If there is something to learn from it, you should learn, knowing that the criticism is coming from a solid place. It is not coming from bias. It is not coming from a place of being vindictive, vicious, or unnecessarily negative. The first thing, therefore, is to analyse where the criticism is coming from. That is what I do.”

Karan also emphasized, “Ninety-five percent of trolling comes from faceless, nameless, and pointless people. Mostly, they are unhappy. Many times unemployed, and therefore frustrated, angry, and bitter. All that negativity makes them want to troll you. Now, what should you feel? Should you be offended, upset, humiliated, and insulted, or should you feel pity? I choose the latter. I feel pity.”

He continued, “I feel pity for anyone who trolls me for two reasons. First, I feel pity for the person who is probably struggling through the beats of their life to the extent that they are being so negative about me. They insult my way of talking, speaking, walking, and even go so far as to insult my mother, my children, my family, and my ecosystem. That level of bitterness only reflects how unhappy they are. What I should feel, therefore, is nothing but pity. Second, I also feel important. You should either be loved or hated. What you should never face is indifference. Imagine when no one talks about you. That is far worse. I never want to face indifference.”

Karan quoted a famous line, saying, “There is a famous song that says, ‘kuch to log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna’, and I agree with that as well. But I look at it in a very simple way. When someone says the most ridiculous things about me, insults or humiliates me, I feel only one thing, and I say this sincerely. I only feel pity.”

He concluded with, “I think to myself, poor fellow, poor lady. They must be extremely unhappy to waste so much energy on negativity. There may be reasons for their unhappiness, and I genuinely feel bad for that. So, the next time criticism comes your way and it is not valid, and it does not come from a well-meaning place, you know what to do. Follow your own path, feel pity for the person, and also feel happy that you are relevant enough for people to talk about you. That, for me, is the best way to move forward.”

  • Madhuri Dixit Reflects on Film Industry Changes from ‘Abodh’ to ‘Mrs Deshpande’ After 40 Years

Madhuri Dixit Reflects on Film Industry Changes from ‘Abodh’ to ‘Mrs Deshpande’ After 40 Years

Actress Madhuri Dixit recently reflected on the transformation of filmmaking from her debut film ‘Abodh’ to her upcoming drama “Mrs Deshpande.”

In an exclusive interaction, she noted that the industry has become much more organized over the years compared to earlier times.

When asked about her experience in the 80s and 90s, Dixit said, “I think at that time there were only five or six very organized producers, like Yash Chopra, B R Chopra, Subhash Ghai, Rajshri Productions, and a few more, and the rest was pretty unorganized. Today, it is very organized. Back then, we relied more on spontaneity; today, we can prepare for a role. You get a script, along with amenities such as the RVs, where you can chill after every shot or get ready. At that time, we did not have all this; we used to sit under the sun, with an umbrella over our heads.”

Madhuri emphasized how actor comfort has greatly improved, with thorough preparation for roles. She explained, “There are a lot of things where the comfort of the actor is taken care of, and also because the character is so prepared that you know what you are going to wear, you know what your look is going to be; we do a lot of prep for the roles, we have readings, which never used to happen then.”

During the conversation, Madhuri also discussed her limited visibility on screen these days. She revealed that her focus is on projects that truly excite her.

She stated, “Well, I want to do roles that are exciting. I want to do characters where every morning I get up and say, ‘Hey, I am going to work on this film or on this series,’ and be very excited about it. I want to work with filmmakers like Nagesh (Kukunoor), who I know will do justice with the characters that they have.”
