Director-choreographer Farah Khan was spotted visiting the home of late superstar Dharmendra following his passing on November 24.
Farah’s visit was a gesture of condolence to the Deol family, and she was accompanied by actress Ananya Panday. Ananya arrived, dressed in an elegant all-white salwar kameez, to comfort the grieving family.
Both Farah and Ananya expressed their sorrow on social media after Dharmendra’s demise. Farah shared a nostalgic picture of herself with the Bollywood legend, captioning it, “May God bless your soul, Dharamji. You have given us so much happiness down the years with your performances and your personality! Condolences to the Deol family.”
Ananya also paid tribute by posting throwback images of Dharmendra with her father, Chunky Panday. She noted that Chunky’s first film in the industry was alongside Dharmendra, stating, “My father’s first film and first-ever shot on camera was with Dharam Ji… forever special, forever in our hearts.” Ananya further shared pictures of Dharmendra from her parents’ wedding reception.
In another heartfelt post, Ananya referred to Dharmendra as “The Greatest” and wrote, “Om Shanti.”
For those who may not know, Dharmendra had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai in mid-November due to breathing difficulties and was later discharged after showing improvement. Unfortunately, his health deteriorated, leading to his passing.
As the news spread, numerous personalities from Bollywood shared their heartfelt memories and tributes on social media. Born in 1935 in Punjab, Dharmendra launched his illustrious career in the early 1960s after being discovered in a talent competition.
His iconic films include ‘Phool Aur Patthar’, Sholay, Blackmail, and Chupke Chupke, among others. Dharmendra was honored with the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian award.
