Actress Sonam Kapoor recently showcased her “shaadi ready” glow on social media by sharing two stunning looks.
On her Instagram, the ‘Neerja’ star posted photos featuring stylish outfits, captioning them, “Shaadi ready… two days and two looks I loved!” In the pictures, Sonam strikes different poses in both traditional and western ensembles. One image captures her alongside her husband, Anand Ahuja, while another showcases her elegance in a blue saree complemented by statement jewellery.
Sonam frequently shares her moments on social media and offers glimpses into her special family times. Just yesterday, the ‘Khoobsurat’ actress highlighted the Manipuri weave with her fashionable new attire. She wore an outfit from EAST by Easternlight Zimik, a homegrown label from Manipur’s Ukhrul district. The look featured a wrap-style outer layer over a black collared shirt, paired with a matching skirt, known as a kashan.
On the work front, Sonam last appeared in the 2023 film “Blind,” a crime thriller directed by Shome Makhija. The movie included Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, and Lillete Dubey in significant supporting roles. As a remake of the 2011 Korean original, “Blind” followed the story of a visually impaired police officer determined to apprehend a serial killer.
This film marked Sonam’s return to acting after stepping back to focus on motherhood and family life following the birth of her son. Sonam welcomed her first child, son Vayu, on August 20, 2022.
Sonam was also slated to star in the film adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s novel “Battle for Bittora,” but the project has been stalled for several years. Produced by her sister Rhea Kapoor, this film was envisioned as a blend of romance and politics, with Sonam portraying an aspiring politician alongside Fawad Khan.
