Upasana Singh launched her son, Nanak Singh, in Punjabi cinema with the film “Bai Ji Kuttange.” Directed by Smeep Kang, the movie also featured Harnaaz Kaur, Dev Kharoud, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Sabby Suri, and Hobby Dhaliwal.

Known for her versatile performances, Upasana Singh has appeared in both Hindi and Punjabi films. She gained significant attention for portraying a deaf-mute character in the 1997 film “Judaai” and later became widely recognized for her role as the dark fairy Cruella/Kalipari in the TV show “Son Pari.”

Singh has also made her mark in comedy with memorable roles, such as Gangaa in Doordarshan’s patriotic sitcom “Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani” and in the Zee thriller series “Tamanna House.” Over the years, she has appeared in supporting roles in films directed by notable filmmakers like Priyadarshan and David Dhawan.

Her portrayal of “Bua” on ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ earned her critical acclaim. Besides Bollywood, she has acted in a diverse array of regional films, including Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Rajasthani, and Gujarati cinema.
