Sonam Remembers Divya Bharti: A Heartfelt Tribute
Actress Sonam, celebrated for her roles in classics like Tridev and Vishwatma, is taking a walk down memory lane. Recently, she shared a nostalgic throwback picture on Instagram featuring herself with the late actress Divya Bharti.
In this treasured snapshot, both actresses are seen dressed to the nines, encapsulating a moment of elegance and camaraderie. Sonam also penned a heartfelt note in the caption, reflecting on her friendship with Divya, whom she described as a “once in a lifetime star.”
Cherished Memories
She recalled, “This was the first time I met Divya on the mahurat of Vishwatma, but this was the first and the last time we stood like two good well-behaved girls. On the sets of Vishwatma, we had a blast shooting in Mumbai and all across Africa.”
Sonam recounted a playful incident where they pulled a prank on an aspiring actor—who is now a big superstar—without disclosing any names out of respect for his current fame.
She reminisced, “I remember one incident very clearly because it’s impossible to forget, when Divya and I were sharing a makeup room in Film City. Just outside our room, there was an upcoming actor shooting for his first movie. (He is a huge star now. Sorry, can’t take his name.) Nonetheless, our naughtiness knew no limits, so we would quietly look at him, laugh loudly at his face, and then run back to our makeup room. We must have repeated this over ten times, laughing so much that our stomachs started hurting and tears streamed down our cheeks.”
A Lasting Legacy
Sonam poignantly remarked, “There comes once a star in a lifetime who leaves a mark for eternity. That star was, is, and will always be Divya Bharti.”
