Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, renowned for his insightful views on artificial intelligence, has emphasized the growing significance of AI among today’s youth.

He pointed out that any story or idea can be significantly enhanced with AI systems. While crafting a story used to be a time-consuming process, it is now possible to develop a narrative in just a few hours thanks to AI technology.

Kapur also believes that middle-class individuals will increasingly engage with AI systems in the future. He remarked, “Today education is very expensive, but for the middle class, the AI system is no less than a blessing. The course for which lakhs of rupees have to be spent can be obtained free of cost from the AI system.”

Known for his meditative and thought-provoking insights, Kapur has been vocal about the use of AI and its expanding influence on Bollywood. Recently, he expressed concerns about AI’s rapid advancement and its implications for the industry’s future.

On the professional front, Kapur confirmed the sequel to his iconic film ‘Masoom’ during a press conference at the 55th International Film Festival of India. He revealed that the script is complete and production is set to begin soon. The sequel will bring back original stars Shabana Azmi and Naseeruddin Shah, along with new cast members Manoj Bajpayee, Nithya Menen, and Kapur’s daughter, Kaveri Kapur, in significant roles.
