Director Sajjad’s ‘Half’ Completes Rajasthan Schedule
The unit of director Sajjad’s highly anticipated Malayalam film ‘Half’ has successfully wrapped up its Rajasthan schedule in Jaisalmer, marking a significant milestone in production. This big-budget venture is being shot across India and abroad.
Claimed to be Malayalam cinema’s first-ever vampire action movie, ‘Half’ is directed and scripted by Sajjad, who previously gained acclaim with his hit film ‘Golam’. The project is produced under the banner of Fragrant Nature Films by Ann Sajeev and Sajeev.
Jaisalmer Shooting Details
The Jaisalmer shoot lasted nearly 120 days, commencing in late April. However, the escalating Indo-Pak tensions briefly disrupted filming. Once the situation improved, the team resumed work and successfully completed the schedule, according to the director.
Upcoming Schedule
The next shooting schedule begins on September 18 in Vandiperiyar and nearby locations in Kerala, expected to last around two weeks. This will mark the completion of the India portion of filming.
The final phase involves overseas shooting, with month-long schedules planned in Russia and Paris during December and January, which are seen as favorable months for filming.
Star Cast and Crew
The film features Ranjith Sajeev, known for roles in ‘Mike’, ‘Golam’, and ‘Khalb UK OK’, alongside Aishwarya, recognized for her work in ‘Officer on Duty’ and ‘UK OK’, as the female lead.
Supporting roles include Sudheesh, Manikandan (of Boys fame), and Srikanth Murali from Malayalam cinema. Additionally, Bollywood actor Rocky Mahajan and artists from Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada industries contribute to the film’s pan-Indian appeal.
Internationally renowned Indonesian action choreographer Verittri Yulisman, known for his work on ‘Raid 2’ and ‘The Night Comes for Us’, is in charge of the action sequences.
