**Actor Raghav Juyal Values Family Teachings Ahead of ‘The Ba*ds of Bollywood’ Release
Actor Raghav Juyal, currently preparing for the launch of his streaming show **‘The Ba*ds of Bollywood,’ emphasizes the importance of family values in shaping one’s character.
In a recent conversation, Juyal playfully noted the ongoing conflict between values instilled by family and those learned from friends. He praised the show’s director, Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, stating that Aryan has been developed into an admirable individual thanks to his upbringing.
Family Culture Matters
“I think the family’s culture that teaches you comes from the family. They have created a wonderful environment in their household. When we visit, it feels like home. Aryan, being the son of the biggest superstar in the world, remains deeply grounded. His cousins, who travel from Delhi and Dehradun, speak in a way that makes me feel completely comfortable,” Juyal remarked.
He highlighted the homeliness of the Khan household, sharing an anecdote about Gauri Khan: “When Gauri ma’am comes, she says, ‘Let’s eat first, then we’ll work.’ Another notable aspect is the tradition of touching everyone’s feet, a common practice in North India. I witnessed this frequently at their home. When my mom met Aryan for the first time, his warm and kind greeting left a strong impression. Only family can impart such good values—friends tend to spoil you,” he added with a laugh.
Aryan’s Distinct Directorial Voice
Juyal also praised Aryan for discovering his directorial voice with this debut project, a feat that’s remarkable not only in India but globally.
“As an artist, I’ve often noted that many directors take years to find their unique style. However, Aryan knew exactly what he wanted to achieve from his very first script. His confidence is impressive, even when facing opposition,” he explained.
Describing Aryan’s character, Juyal said, “He is strong-headed and exceptional. Though he appears calm on the surface, underneath, there are rapid currents of creativity and determination that define him as a director.”
