It’s our collective loss of a voice that constantly tried to converse with us and shown us a world that was ‘different’—in his own inimitable way. #RIPSreenivasan”.

Sreenivasan was a beloved icon of Malayalam cinema when he breathed his last at the Trippunithura Taluk Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment for age-related illnesses. He was 69 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Vimala, and his sons, Vineeth Sreenivasan, an acclaimed director, actor, and singer, and Dhyan Sreenivasan, a popular actor.
Throughout his remarkable 48-year career, Sreenivasan made a lasting impact on Malayalam storytelling, characterized by incisive humor, social satire, and deeply human characters.
An actor of exceptional versatility, he appeared in nearly 225 films, mastering both comedic and serious roles, often portraying the flawed everyman with remarkable authenticity.
