Television actress Neha Marda recently shared a heartfelt video montage on her social media, celebrating Chhat Pooja. The clip gives fans a beautiful glimpse into a traditional celebration, showcasing her devotion while performing rituals.
Celebrating Tradition
Neha expressed her gratitude in the caption, stating, “Grateful for the divine energy of the sun and the strength of tradition.” She also added another post with the message “Happy Kharana.”
In the video, Neha is elegantly dressed in a metallic pink and gold Banarasi tissue net saree, complemented by a heavily embroidered dupatta and traditional jewellery, including a Nath, Mang tika, and a layered gold necklace.
A Beautiful Ritual Setup
Her look is completed with red bangles and vermilion adorning her forehead, symbolizing her cultural roots. The video features her engaging in various Chhat Pooja rituals, such as preparing offerings, lighting diyas, and getting ready with love and care. The actress is seen sitting beside her husband, Ayushman Agarwal, during the prayers and Aarti.
The couple performs the pooja together in front of a beautifully decorated yellow backdrop. Neha is also shown offering food on banana leaves and lighting lamps, marking the sacred occasion of Kharana, a significant part of the four-day Chhat Pooja festival.
Personal Milestones and Professional Journey
For those unfamiliar, Neha Marda married Patna-based businessman Ayushman Agarwal in February 2012. At the time of her marriage, she was at the peak of her career, playing the pivotal role of Gehna in the popular show Balika Vadhu. She decided to quit the show after getting married but made a comeback as the lead in the TV series Doli Armaanon Ki, alongside actor Mohit Mallik.
In 2023, she welcomed her first child, a baby girl, after facing several pregnancy-related complications that made her journey challenging. Neha has since been open about her postpartum experiences and frequently discusses the realities of motherhood.
Recently, Neha also ventured into entrepreneurship by launching her own business, marking another exciting chapter in her career.
