Kareena Kapoor Enjoys Samosa at Son’s School Event, Karan Johar Calls Her ‘Carby Doll’ in Fun Video

Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan was recently spotted enjoying the popular Indian snack, ‘Samosa,’ at her sons’ annual day function at school.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, a close friend of Kareena, shared a video on his social media where the actress was seen relishing the tasty treat. In the video, Karan humorously remarked that he thought Kareena was on a diet, but here she was, caught in the act of eating a samosa.

“This is what Kareena Kapoor is doing at the school play, eating a samosa,” he said. “For all you people who think that she’s on a diet, this is what she’s eating – a big samosa!”

Karan playfully dubbed Kareena a ‘Carby Doll,’ referring to the carbohydrate content of the snack. He added, “I’m proud of you, Bebo. I’m proud of you. You’re a carby doll. I love it.” Kareena reacted with surprise, clarifying that she was not on any diet at the moment.

Kareena and Karan share a close bond, having been best friends for over two decades. Their children even attend the same school, further solidifying their friendship. Both hail from prominent Bollywood families—Karan’s late father, Yash Johar, was a renowned producer during Bollywood’s golden era, while Kareena belongs to the illustrious Kapoor clan, with legendary figures like Prithviraj Kapoor and Raj Kapoor in her lineage.

Her parents, Randhir Kapoor and Babita, were notable actors in the 70s and 80s, and her sister Karisma Kapoor was a leading actress in 90s Bollywood. Additionally, Kareena is the cousin of superstar Ranbir Kapoor and sister-in-law to Alia Bhatt.

Kareena and Karan’s professional collaboration dates back to the 2001 film “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,” produced by Yash Johar under the Dharma Productions banner. This role significantly boosted Kareena’s fame, with her character Pooja, or Poo, remaining a fan favorite even after 24 years since the film’s release.

Alongside Kareena, “K3G” featured an impressive cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Jaya Bachchan. The film achieved cult status, with its iconic dialogues and memorable songs etched in the hearts of moviegoers.
