Emraan Hashmi Returns to Awarapan 2 Set After Serious Injury, Balancing Health and Work Commitments

Actor Emraan Hashmi is back on the sets of Awarapan 2, fulfilling his work commitments despite facing a serious injury.

Sources indicate that during an intense action sequence, Emraan suffered a significant abdominal tissue tear, which required immediate medical attention and surgery. He was quickly placed under medical care but made the decision to return to the set earlier than anticipated.

Currently filming in Rajasthan, Emraan is back at the location with controlled action movements and a carefully monitored schedule, ensuring a balance between his health and work responsibilities. The team has also adjusted the shooting plan to aid his recovery while allowing filming to proceed smoothly.

Emraan recently received positive reviews for his performance in his film Haq. In earlier comments, he shared insights about the impact of his work, acknowledging that films tailored for niche audiences often do not achieve blockbuster success.

He explained, “I think every film has its own range. When you have a commercial film, there are certain tropes that you have to tick, some boxes you have to check, and the simpler the story, the more it reaches out to more people. There are certain complex films like ‘Tigers’ that are issue-based; ‘Shanghai’ was based on an issue. It’s a part of the social fabric of our country.”

He further emphasized, “So those have a limited range. You can’t expect a ‘Shanghai’ to do the business of a ‘Murder,’ because they are two different films. ‘Murder’ is a film that’s driven by music, an illicit affair and all those elements. So I know the range of this film, but it’s very important for an actor to kind of do a whole range and variety of films and present it to the audience so that they see it for what it is and recognize the versatility in the talent.”
