Actress Dia Mirza expressed her heartfelt emotions on social media as her mother celebrated her 73rd birthday.
Dia shared that her mother taught her the true meaning of love through her actions. She referred to her mother as her anchor and safest place, saying, “Happy 73rd birthday to the woman who taught me what love looks like in action — my mother, my anchor, my safest place.”
Along with her note, she posted several photos of her mother enjoying time with her son, Avyaan, as well as beautiful snippets of nature.
Recognizing her mother’s multifaceted roles as both a mother and a nani, Dia praised her for her nurturing spirit, saying, “You are the best mother anyone could ask for, the most magical nani to our children, and a rare soul who offers friendship not just to people, but to this beautiful planet we call home. From the way you nurture every life around you — with patience, tenderness, and quiet strength — you have shown me that care is a superpower.”
She described her mother’s life as a lesson in kindness, adding, “Your laughter is medicine. Your presence is home.”
As she showered blessings for the year ahead, the ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’ actress stated, “May this year wrap you in the same love you’ve given so freely to the world. May your days be filled with wonder, sunshine, flowers, long conversations, and all the small joys you deserve. And yes, lots of dancing!”

On the work front, Dia is collaborating with Rahul Bhat on an untitled romantic drama directed by the acclaimed Indo-German filmmaker Kanwal Sethi.
