Dhanush Praises Arun Vijay’s Dedication in ‘Idli Kadai’
Actor and director Dhanush expressed his profound respect for actor Arun Vijay, who plays the antagonist in the upcoming film ‘Idli Kadai.’ Dhanush shared a remarkable incident during the shooting, highlighting Arun Vijay’s commitment despite suffering a severe blow to the face that caused bleeding.
A Memorable Audio Launch
At the audio launch event held at Nehru Indoor Stadium, Dhanush praised Arun Vijay, calling him a dedicated and sincere actor. He said, “We had such a great time working with each other. I have found a good friend (in Arun Vijay). You (Arun Vijay) have worked very hard for this film.”
An Unfortunate Incident
Dhanush recounted a fight sequence where things took an unexpected turn. “During a fight sequence, we both had to be in the air. I had to deliver a punch. My hand, by mistake, touched his mouth,” he explained to the audience, clarifying that the accidental hit landed on Arun Vijay’s mouth.
“He (Arun Vijay) bled. If someone else had been there (in his place), shooting would have been stopped for two hours. Arun Vijay only took a moment, put an ice cube there and said, ‘Let’s go.’ Very dedicated, very sincere. Thank you for having absolute faith in me. Absolute privilege to have worked with you and directed you,” Dhanush said.
Release Details
For those unaware, Dawn Pictures, one of the production houses behind the film, initially announced a worldwide release for April 10. However, the release date has now been postponed to October 1.

Reports suggest that Arun Vijay’s portrayal of the antagonist will be a highlight, promising an exciting face-off with Dhanush in the film.
