Television actress Charu Asopa took to her social media account to wish her ex-sister-in-law and Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen on her 50th birthday.
Sharing a lovely picture featuring herself with her baby girl Ziana and Sushmita, Charu expressed her heartfelt wishes. She wrote, “Happy Birthday, Didi and Ziana ki sexy bua. You look the hottest and the most stunning inside out. Age truly bows down in front of you. Ziana is so lucky to have a bua like you—someone who has seen the world, learnt so much, and carries so much wisdom and grace. I’m just happy she has you to look up to.”
She continued, “I just want you to know that both Ziana and I love you soooo much. Happy birthday to the most gorgeous person I know,” and included a red heart and hugging emoticon.
For context, Charu Asopa married Sushmita Sen’s younger brother Rajeev Sen in 2019, following a brief courtship. However, the relationship faced challenges soon after, leading to their official divorce last year. Since then, Charu and Rajeev have been living apart in different states, reuniting only for their daughter Ziana, as they navigate a co-parenting arrangement. The couple’s separation was marked by public disagreements, making their divorce notably bitter.
On Sushmita Sen’s special day, Bollywood actress Dia Mirza, a close friend of Sushmita, also shared a heartfelt birthday wish on her social media. Posting a picture with Sushmita, her daughters Renee and Alisah, and her own son during Durga Pooja, Dia wrote, “Happy Birthday to my absolute favourite @sushmitasen47! I’m so grateful to call you my own. Keep shining your light!” She added a red heart, a star, and a tiger emoticon.
Earlier in the day, Sushmita’s elder daughter, Renee Sen, posted a message for her mother. She shared a picture featuring Sushmita, her sister Alisah, and herself, captioning it, “Happppyy Birhtdaayyy Maa!” and labeled it “Bestie turns 50,” accompanied by an emotional face and red heart emoticon.
In another touching post, Renee shared a photo with Sushmita and Alisah in front of the Goddess Durga idol, writing, “I love you, birthday girl.”
