Abhijeet Sawant Unveils Fresh Take on ‘Mohabbatein Lutaunga’ for ‘I Popstar’

“Indian Idol 1” winner Abhijeet Sawant has created a fresh rendition of “Mohabbatein Lutaunga” for the audience of “I Popstar.”

    I Popstar’s Musical Collaboration

I Popstar features a vibrant mix of singers, including talented Marathi artists like Radhika Bhide and Rohit Raut. The show showcases engaging musical jugalbandis, and Abhijeet made a special appearance in the pre-finale episode.

    A Memorable Experience

Reflecting on his participation, Abhijeet shared, “I got the chance to appear on I Popstar as a guest singer, and it turned out to be a beautiful and unforgettable experience. This show is one of those rare platforms that truly promote original music in today’s era.”

He expressed joy in witnessing the incredible talent displayed by young musicdigihunt, saying, “Seeing so many talented young musicdigihunt (not just singers) made me extremely happy. Their songwriting, presentation, and music were all exceptional. Having indie music stars and my fellow musician friends Parmeesh, Aditya, King, and Aastha mentoring them is a big thing in itself.”

    Pursuing Original Music

Abhijeet mentioned that after his triumph in Indian Idol, he aspired to perform on stages that highlight contemporary original music. “And I Popstar is doing that brilliantly. Through this opportunity, I also got to perform Mohabbatein Lutaunga once again — but this time with a twist. Since this is a GenZ-focused show, I created a brand-new version of Mohabbatein, and it went viral!”

    A Glance at Abhijeet’s Journey

Following his impact on “Indian Idol” Season 1, Abhijeet released his first solo album, Aapka Abhijeet Sawant, in 2005. That same year, he lent his voice for playback singing in the movie Aashiq Banaya Aapne, performing the song Mar Jaawan Mit Jaawan.

His second album, Junoon, was unveiled in 2007, followed by his third studio album, Farida, in 2013.

Abhijeet made his acting debut in the movie Lottery in 2009 and had a brief appearance at the end of Tees Maar Khan. He also made special appearances as himself in the romantic drama series Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai and the thriller crime series C.I.D.

  • Shubhangi Atre Describes Uttarakhand Getaway as a Rejuvenating ‘Soul-Nourishing Experience’

Shubhangi Atre Describes Uttarakhand Getaway as a Rejuvenating ‘Soul-Nourishing Experience’

Popular television actress Shubhangi Atre, renowned for her role as Angoori Bhabi in &TV’s show “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain,” recently visited the sacred town of Devprayag in Uttarakhand.

During her trip, Shubhangi experienced a wonderful blend of peace, nature, and delightful food. Reflecting on her time there, she described it as a ‘soul-nourishing experience’.

She shared, “My visit to Devprayag was one of the most soul-nourishing experiences I have had in a long time. Standing at the sangam where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers merge to form the Ganga felt truly divine. The sound of the flowing water, the stillness of the mountains, and the purity of the air created an atmosphere that felt transformative.”

While in Devprayag, Shubhangi also offered prayers at the Raghunathji Temple. Speaking about her spiritual journey, she remarked, “I also visited the Raghunathji Temple, and even though I have travelled across several spiritual destinations, the calmness of Devprayag felt unique. The small pathways, hillside caves, ancient steps, and rustic charm of the surroundings made me feel deeply connected to nature.”

Additionally, the actress savored local Garhwali cuisine during her getaway. She stated, “The taste of bhatt ki churdkani, the simple dal and rice, and the freshly prepared dishes at small eateries near Teen Dhara were incredibly comforting. I also tasted the famous prasad of Raghunathji Temple, which had a beautiful simplicity to it. While I was there, I even prayed for blessings for our show — its continued success, strength for myself and my co-stars to keep delivering great work, and the wisdom to do complete justice to my role of Bhabiji.”

Shubhangi expressed that she felt a profound sense of peace and gratitude following her visit to Devprayag. She said, “Even the herbal tea served at the small cafés overlooking the river felt special. Devprayag reminded me that sometimes all we need is the warmth of good food, untouched nature, and a moment of silence to reconnect with ourselves. This journey gave me so much peace, reflection, and gratitude.”

Nayanthara Joins Balakrishna’s #NBK111: Exciting Addition to the Film Team!

It’s official! The makers of director Gopichand Malineni’s film #NBK111, featuring actor Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead, have welcomed actress Nayanthara to the team.

On Nayanthara’s birthday, director Gopichand Malineni announced her inclusion via his X timeline. He wrote, “Here she comes… Welcoming the one and only Queen #Nayanthara garu into the world of #NBK111. Honoured to have her power and grace in our story. Wishing you a wonderful Birthday. Excited to see you on set soon. @nbk111movie GOD OF MASSES #NandamuriBalaKrishna Venkataskilaru vriddhicinemas.”

The production house, Vriddhi Cinemas, shared their excitement, saying, “The Queen who carries the calm of oceans and the fury of storms, #Nayanthara enters the empire of #NBK111. Warm birthday wishes from the team. HISTORICAL ROAR loading… with gigantic updates soon. #HBDNayanthara. GOD OF MASSES #NandamuriBalakrishna @megopichand @Venkataskilaru @vriddhicinemas @nbk111movie.”

Tentatively referred to as #NBK111, the film was officially announced on Balakrishna’s birthday earlier this year. Sources suggest that it is a historical epic set for an official launch in November, having been slightly delayed from its original October schedule.

This film marks Balakrishna’s second collaboration with the blockbuster director Gopichand Malineni, following their sensational hit, ‘Veera Simha Reddy’. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru, who is also behind the ambitious Pan-India project ‘Peddi’, #NBK111 is being developed on a grand scale under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, ensuring a high-budget cinematic experience.

Sources close to the production have indicated that the team recently conducted a recce in Rajasthan to scout picturesque locales for the film’s shooting.

For the first time, Gopichand Malineni is set to explore the historical drama genre, infusing it with his trademark flair for mass appeal. Known for delivering commercial successes, he aims to craft a monumental narrative that showcases Nandamuri Balakrishna in a never-before-seen avatar. Set against a rich historical backdrop, the film is expected to deliver a powerful blend of intensity, emotion, and action, enhanced by spectacular visuals and larger-than-life storytelling.

Currently in the final stages of pre-production, the project revolves around a bold, unique script that insiders believe perfectly complements Balakrishna’s screen presence.

  • Adivi Sesh: “Dacoit” Is More Than Just Hindi and Telugu for Me!

Adivi Sesh: “Dacoit” Is More Than Just Hindi and Telugu for Me!

Actor Adivi Sesh, ready for the release of his bilingual film Dacoit, shared that the project was never merely about switching between Hindi and Telugu. Instead, it was about understanding how the same character expresses himself differently across two emotional landscapes.

    Clarifying a misconception

Sesh emphasized that he never had to “work on” his Hindi diction for Dacoit. His fluency has developed naturally over the years, thanks to a multicultural upbringing and diverse experiences.

“For me, Dacoit was never about switching between Hindi and Telugu, it was about understanding how the same character breathes differently in two emotional worlds. Hindi has always come naturally to me, so diction wasn’t the challenge. The real work was tuning into the attitude, the rhythm, and the emotional pitch that each language demands,” Sesh explained.

    Distinct emotional tones

He highlighted that the Hindi version presents “a gentler, more restrained intensity,” while the Telugu version features a stronger physicality and an exuberant emotional expression.

“As both actor and co-writer, I had to constantly shift gears to ensure that each version felt true to its audience. Although the story remains the same, the emotional journeys are distinct, making us feel like we were crafting two films side by side,” Sesh noted.

Sesh adopted a similar approach in his previous film Major, treating both language versions as separate entities.

    A commitment to authenticity

“Making bilinguals feels like shooting two films. Not many go the extra mile, but I can’t settle for anything less than perfect. Every frame, every emotion must resonate authentically with its audience; that’s the cinematic experience I aspire to deliver,” he added.

The film also stars Mrunal Thakur and features the talented Anurag Kashyap in a powerful role, along with Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni, Zayn Marie Khan, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla among others.

    Plot synopsis

Dacoit follows the journey of an angry convict seeking revenge on his ex-girlfriend, who betrayed him. As he devises a perilous plan to trap her, the storyline evolves into an emotionally charged tale of love, betrayal, and vengeance.

Filmed simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu, the story and screenplay have been collaboratively crafted by Adivi Sesh and Shaneil Deo. Currently in post-production, Dacoit is poised for a grand pan-India release.

Having established himself as a leading man, Sesh has delivered commercial and critical successes with films like Dongaata, Kshanam, Ami Thumi, Goodachari, Evaru, Major, and HIT: The Second Case.

  • Rana Daggubati Grateful for Bhagyashree Borse’s Praising Post: ‘Kind of Her to Say That’

Rana Daggubati Grateful for Bhagyashree Borse’s Praising Post: ‘Kind of Her to Say That’

Popular actor Rana Daggubatti, known for his significant role in director Selvamani Selvaraj’s critically acclaimed period drama ‘Kaantha’, has responded to actress Bhagyashrii’s recent post, where she referred to him as a true friend and a “gem of a person.”

    Rana’s Thoughts on Bhagyashrii’s Kindness

When Rana Daggubatti was made aware of Bhagyashrii’s post, he expressed his appreciation in an exclusive conversation. “First, it was very kind of her to say that. Bhagyashrii was so sincere, and it’s hard for somebody to just move away from (their place). She was from Bombay. We said you will have to learn Tamil if you have to be in the film, and she stayed here for six months (to learn Tamil), and that doesn’t happen in today’s time,” he remarked.

    Praise for Bhagyashrii’s Sincerity

He continued, “The sincerity that she has shown is extraordinary. You can see it in the film. We were also very nervous in the beginning; I mean, you have Dulquer, you have Samuthirakani sir, and it’s nice in writing when you say you want a new girl to match up to them. It was nice to say all that in a scene, but unless the person performs, you don’t have it. But I think the first few months, as soon as she started doing the tests, we knew we had found our Kumari.”

    Bhagyashrii’s Appreciation for Rana

For those unfamiliar, Bhagyashrii Borse expressed her gratitude for the ‘Kaantha’ unit, specifically praising Rana Daggubatti for his supportive nature, calling him her mentor. In her heartfelt post, she stated, “Thank you @ranadaggubati for supporting me from day one. You’re a true friend and a gem of a person, and I am lucky to have you as my mentor in this journey as an actor, and without your support and constant guidance, I wouldn’t be able to do it.”

‘Kaantha’ is a gripping period drama thriller set in 1950s Madras. The film has been jointly produced by Spirit Media and Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films. It features cinematography by acclaimed cameraman Dani Sanchez Lopaz, with music composed by Jhanu Chanthar. Art direction is credited to Tha.
