The news of superstar Dharmendra’s demise on November 24 sent shockwaves across the entire nation, particularly through the Bollywood industry.
Prayer Meet Arranged by the Deol Family
In remembrance of the late superstar, the Deol family has organised a prayer meet scheduled for November 27. An invite circulating on social media is headlined as “CELEBRATION OF LIFE” rather than a traditional “Prayer Meet.”
The invite includes, “Dharmendra 8 December 1935 – 24 November 2025, November 27, 2025, 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm,” along with the event’s location details. Reports suggest that singer Sonu Nigam will be performing songs dedicated to the superstar during the meet, celebrating his life and legacy.
Bollywood Pays Tribute
On November 25, a significant number of Bollywood moguls visited the Deol residence to express their condolences to the grieving family. Veteran star Jeetendra, a close friend of Dharmendra for nearly five decades, was seen visiting the family. Despite being in his mid-80s, Jeetendra made his way slowly to the Deol home to support his best friend’s family during this tough time.
Superstar Hrithik Roshan and his father Rakesh Roshan also paid their respects, showing solidarity with the family in their moment of distress. Other notable figures, including Varun Dhawan, Jaccky Bhagnani, Rakul Preet Singh, Ajay Devgn, and Allu Arjun’s father, Allu Aravind, were present to offer their condolences as well.
A Life Remembered
For those unfamiliar, Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89. He had recently been placed on a ventilator due to breathing difficulties but was discharged from the hospital and returned home to continue his treatment.
His passing has left a profound impact, reminding fans and industry peers alike of a beloved icon who will be missed.
