Ayushmann Khurrana’s Vampiric Love for Rashmika Mandanna Shines in ‘Thama’!

Adding to the excitement for the highly anticipated horror comedy “Thama,” featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, the makers have released an intriguing trailer for the film.

Trailer Highlights

The clip begins with Rashmika introducing Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s character, Yakshasan, who is meant to be the protector of the world. However, things take a turn as he goes rogue, expressing a desire to become the ‘Thama’ himself. We then see Ayushmann’s character, Alok, encounter Yakshasan and be introduced to an entirely different realm.

The trailer also showcases some romantic scenes between Ayushmann and Rashmika.

In a shocking twist, Alok suddenly transforms into a vampire, lacking a heartbeat and sporting fangs. The remainder of the trailer depicts Alok confronting the challenges that come with his new identity.

Dropping the gripping trailer on social media, the producers from Maddock Films stated, “A forgotten legend from our folklore, #Thamma takes centre stage this Diwali (Bat emoji). “Thama” features Ayushmann as Alok, Rashmika as Tadaka, Nawazuddin as Yakshasan, Paresh as Ram Bajaj Goyal, and Sathyaraj as Elvis Karim Prabhakar, among others.

Ayushmann’s Thoughts

“The fact that ‘Thama’ is the first love story of the horror comedy universe is all the more exciting,” Ayushmann shared with Variety.com.

He further expressed, “The promise of it being a ‘bloody’ love story is also a supremely unique and compelling pitch for today’s audience who want clutter-breaking theatrical experiences. ‘Thama’ is that project—a total wildcard, a film that no one has seen in India. I’m really pumped to join the sets of this film and create a huge big-screen experience with Dinesh and his entire team of fellow visionaries like Amar Kaushik, my director Aditya Sarpotdar, and the writing genius Niren Bhatt.”

“Thama” is set to hit cinemas on October 21, coinciding with Diwali this year.
