Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has warmly welcomed football icon David Beckham upon his arrival in India, referring to him as a “true friend of India.”
Advocacy for Social Good
Ayushmann, who serves as UNICEF India’s National Ambassador, joined Beckham, the Goodwill Ambassador, in using their influence to raise awareness about various global issues. During Beckham’s visit to India, where he was seen interacting with students at a school in Visakhapatnam, Ayushmann praised him, stating, “David Beckham is an icon who leads from the front to bring focus to so many societal issues that affect people worldwide.”
Inspiration Through Commitment
He further expressed admiration for Beckham’s dedication to social causes and affection for India, saying, “It is incredible to see his commitment to social good. His visits to our country inspire people to do good and bring global attention to our needs. He is a true friend of India.” Ayushmann also conveyed his gratitude for Beckham’s efforts, remarking, “It is truly a pleasure to be advocating for the same causes as fellow UNICEF ambassadors.”
Upcoming Projects
On the work front, Ayushmann was recently featured in “Thamma” alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Rashmika Mandanna. The film, set in a fictional universe, serves as a crossover with Varun Dhawan’s “Bhediya” and introduces Aneet Padda as “Shakti Shalini” from the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. “Thamma,” which delves into a vampire-themed narrative, follows Ayushmann’s character, a journalist embroiled in the power dynamics between vampire characters played by Rashmika and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Looking ahead, Ayushmann will star alongside Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh in the much-anticipated film ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do,’ directed by Mudassar Aziz. Scheduled for release on Holi, March 4, 2026, the film’s release date was officially announced by T-Series Films on Instagram on October 18.
The teaser for the film captures the essence of comedic chaos, stating, “Har pati ki hoti hai, apni ek aflatoon duniya… Jo unko bhale hi satati ho, magar hum sabki badha hasati hai.” With a talented ensemble cast and a creative team behind it, ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ promises to deliver laughter and entertainment this Holi.
