Akshay Kumar Claps Back at Trolls While Sharing Fun Ways to Enjoy Santra with CM Fadnavis

At the recent FICCI Frames 2025 event, Akshay Kumar took a light-hearted jab at those who had mocked him for his question to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about how he eats mangoes.

In 2019, the “Airlift” actor garnered attention when he inquired during an interview whether the Prime Minister enjoyed mangoes. The question quickly went viral, leading to numerous memes and online jokes. Revisiting this humorous incident, Akshay asked Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis a similar question, this time about his fondness for oranges.

Akshay remarked in Hindi, “25 years of FICCI… Humare saath humare chief minister sahab hain. Aaj mujhe mauka mila hai… yeh zindagi mein mera second time hai jo main kissi ka interview le raha hai hun… Pheli baar mujhe mauka mila tha Pradhan Mantri ji ka interview lene ka. Aur ab humare chief minister sahab ka interview lene ka mauka mila hai.” (It’s a wonderful day… 25 years of FICCI… and we are joined by our Chief Minister. Today, I got the opportunity… this is only the second time in my life that I’m conducting an interview. The first time was when I had the chance to interview the Prime Minister, and now I have the opportunity to interview our Chief Minister.)

Continuing, the ‘Kesari’ actor said, “Sir, maine unse ek question kiya tha Pradhan Mantri sahab se ke aap aam kaise khante hain toh logun ne mazak udaya tha, lekin sir main nahi sudhrunga.” (Sir, I had asked the Prime Minister a question about how he eats mangoes, and people made fun of me, but sir, I won’t change!)

Turning to the Chief Minister, Akshay asked, “Aap Nagpur se hain aur Nagpur is famous for its oranges. Main yeh puchna chahtha hun ke aapko orange acche lagte hain.” (You are from Nagpur, and Nagpur is famous for its oranges. I want to ask you—do you like oranges?)

Fadnavis responded with a “yes,” after which Akshay inquired whether he preferred to eat oranges by peeling them or drinking them as juice. The Chief Minister then revealed his unique method of enjoying oranges: cutting them in half, sprinkling a bit of salt, and eating them like a mango. Devendra humorously added, “Only OG people know this style of eating an orange.”

The delighted 58-year-old actor laughed and acknowledged, “I have learnt a new thing today and I am surely going to try this.”

The 25th edition of FICCI Frames is set to occur on October 7–8, 2025, in Mumbai. Celebrating its Silver Jubilee, this two-day event will gather industry leaders and visionaries from India and around the world to celebrate 25 years of transforming the media landscape.

  • Jacob Elordi Transforms into Frankenstein’s Monster with 10-Hour Daily Make-Up Sessions!

Jacob Elordi Transforms into Frankenstein’s Monster with 10-Hour Daily Make-Up Sessions!

Actor Jacob Elordi, known for his role as Frankenstein’s Monster in “Frankenstein,” dedicated a staggering “10 hours” daily to makeup, according to director Guillermo del Toro.

Del Toro, during an interview with E! News at the movie’s Los Angeles premiere, shared that Elordi underwent about 42 pieces of makeup and prosthetics each day. “He took around 10 hours every day and about 42 pieces of makeup, prosthetics. And then he would have to work,” he noted.

    Impressive Commitment to the Role

The director expressed admiration for Elordi’s commitment to the makeup process. “He did it all with grace and patience and love,” Del Toro explained. He likened the experience to that of a priest getting dressed for a ceremony, saying, “You have to think, this is your Ceremonial Guard. You’re invoking the Creature.”

The director concluded, “And the result is heartbreaking and beautiful. It’s a really naked performance—emotionally so close to innocence that it breaks your heart.”

    Praise from Co-Star Oscar Isaac

Oscar Isaac, who plays scientist Victor Frankenstein, echoed Del Toro’s sentiments about Elordi’s captivating performance. The 46-year-old actor remarked, “He was so effortless. He never complained. He was in 10 hours of makeup every day. The fact that he would just show up and was so beautiful and vulnerable, I was so impressed with him.”

A Unique Take on a Classic Story

Del Toro has previously indicated that he does not view his adaptation of Frankenstein as a standard horror film. In an August discussion with Variety, he described it as “a story like Pinocchio, about a creature that is created by his father and thrown into the world, sort of into the deep end of the pool.”

He added, “He’s attempting to learn to swim by not drowning. Frankenstein is a song of the human experience. It’s the story of a father and a son.”

This film marks Guillermo del Toro’s eagerly awaited interpretation of Mary Shelley’s classic 1818 novel, “Frankenstein.”

  • Akshay Kumar Proposes ‘Haiwaan’ Film to Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis: What’s Next?

Akshay Kumar Proposes ‘Haiwaan’ Film to Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis: What’s Next?

Bollywood’s “Khiladi” star Akshay Kumar recently sought advice from Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis regarding his decision to take on a negative role in his upcoming film, Haiwaan.

    Exploring New Roles

Akshay shared, “I am doing a film where I play a negative character. I was wondering whether I should do it or not. The film is called Haiwaan, but in the end, I lose. The ‘Haiwaan’ loses.” In response, Fadnavis encouraged him, stating, “Yes, you should definitely do it. A versatile actor like you should explore all kinds of roles.”

The Chief Minister emphasized that for an actor, taking on diverse roles is crucial for true accomplishment. He added, “Ultimately, what is an accomplishment? Even in films where the villain loses, the character often leaves a bigger impact than the hero. That is creativity. But do continue doing more films as a hero as well.”

    Reason for the Role

Explaining his choice to play a negative character, Akshay remarked, “I felt like doing a negative role hence I am doing it. Mostly I play the hero in the film.”

    About Haiwaan

Haiwaan brings Akshay back together with actor Saif Ali Khan after a 17-year gap. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film is a remake of the 2016 Malayalam thriller Oppam, which was also directed by him and starred Mohanlal. Upcoming Projects

In addition, Akshay will appear in Priyadarshan’s horror comedy Bhoot Bangla, scheduled for release towards the end of 2025. This film marks the reunion of the iconic trio of Priyadarshan, Akshay, and Paresh Rawal. Along with Akshay and Paresh, the film will feature Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Mithila Palkar, and Wamiqa Gabbi in significant roles.

Produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms in collaboration with Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films, Bhoot Bangla has been co-produced by Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali. The script is penned by Akash A Kaushik, with the screenplay crafted by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair, and Priyadarshan. The dialogues are written by Rohan Shankar.

  • Julia Roberts Raises Alarm on Youth’s Growing Mobile Phone Addiction

Julia Roberts Raises Alarm on Youth’s Growing Mobile Phone Addiction

Academy Award-winning actress Julia Roberts has expressed her concerns about young people’s excessive mobile phone use, stating that the brain is “incapable” of processing so much information.

The “Pretty Woman” star, who is a mother to 20-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, along with 18-year-old Henry, shared her thoughts in an interview with Sunday Times Culture magazine. She mentioned, “Our brains are incapable of that influx; our eyeballs, brains, all that is too much, especially for little, sweet, soft mushy brains, that need to be filled instead with mud andfields.”

In light of rising misogyny and the manosphere online, the 57-year-old actress feels grateful that her sons have not become involved in these issues. She remarked, “I mean, I’m raising two young men with my husband and couldn’t be more proud. They’re curious and sure-footed, and this sporting game of cruelty comes from insecurity, from feeling that you live on a very slippery slope.”

Roberts also challenged the notion that generational gaps are widening. With a laugh, she noted, “I mean, every generation thinks that — remember Elvis? It is unfortunate when people go, ‘Well, in my day …’ All that bulls***. I love being with young people.”

She considers teenagers to be the “raddest creatures on the planet.” Sharing a personal anecdote, Roberts recounted attending a school parent meeting where parents voiced their worries about their kids listening to music they disapproved of or spending too much time on their phones. She recalled, “But then this incredible mum, so cool and beautiful, stands up and goes, ‘I love teenagers! They are the raddest creatures on the planet!’ And she’s right; that reminds you how much we miss in life when we think we know more — or better. About everything.”

In her reflections on motherhood, Roberts revealed that having her children transformed her perspective on work. Speaking about her role as Alma in the upcoming movie “After the Hunt,” she said, “I love being at home. Basically, when I became a parent, I learnt that I could not take a job unless I was fully committed to it. If I still felt like I had one foot in the house, I could not do it. But the thing that intrigued me here was that I just couldn’t decide if I liked Alma or hated her. Or even understood her.”

She concluded, “And that is a reason to leave the comfort of my own home for work, right? To go someplace uncomfortable…”

  • Shilpa Shetty Grills Mumbai Police EOW Over ₹60 Crore Fraud Case Involvement

Shilpa Shetty Grills Mumbai Police EOW Over ₹60 Crore Fraud Case Involvement

Bollywood actress and entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty has recorded her statement with the Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) regarding a fraud case involving Rs. 60 crore.

An official from the Mumbai Police indicated that Shilpa was questioned for around 4.5 hours, during which her statement was documented. According to an EOW officer, police visited Shilpa’s residence to conduct the interrogation. She provided detailed information about the alleged transactions occurring in the bank account of her advertising company.

During the inquiry, Shilpa submitted several documents to the police, which are currently under verification.

In September, the Economic Offences Wing had recorded the statement of Shilpa’s husband, Raj Kundra, in connection with the same Rs. 60 crore fraud case. The Mumbai Police had previously shared an update, stating: “Investigations are ongoing against actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra in an alleged fraud case of Rs. 60 crore. A summon was issued by the Economic Offences Wing of Mumbai Police to Raj Kundra. He was asked to appear before police for the investigation.”

Authorities noted that Raj Kundra’s statements in the case have been recorded, and he is expected to be summoned again by the Mumbai Police next week for further questioning.

For those unaware, businessman Deepak Kothari has accused Shilpa and Raj of conspiring to defraud him of over Rs. 60 crore. He contends that funds given for business expansion between 2015 and 2023 were misappropriated for personal expenses.

Raj Kundra later asserted that part of the Rs. 60 crore fraud amount was paid to actresses Bipasha Basu and Neha Dhupia as fees. Sources revealed that Raj claimed a portion of the disputed amount was paid as fees to these actresses. However, during a five-hour-long interrogation, he reportedly remained tight-lipped on several key points, prompting the EOW to arrange additional questioning.

Reports also indicate that investigators discovered that funds were transferred directly from the company’s accounts to the accounts of four actresses, including Shilpa Shetty, Bipasha Basu, and Neha Dhupia. Transactions were also traced back to Balaji Entertainment.
