Ektaa Kapoor has issued a heartfelt public apology to all actors she has criticized over the years, following her recent appearances in advertisements.
In a video posted on the Stories section of her Instagram, she expressed, “After my recent bout of acting in the ads, I’d like to give a public apology to every actor I have said, ‘your performance was not up to the mark’. I am sincerely sorry.”
Recently, Ektaa has appeared in several advertisements for a diverse range of products. In one of these ads, she proudly stated, “I gave the world K-drama,” referencing her significant contributions to Indian television through iconic shows like “Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,” “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii,” “Kusum,” and “Pavitra Rishta.”
In another notable update, Netflix’s satirical comedy “Kathal: A Jackfruit Mystery” received the prestigious title of ‘Best Hindi Film’ at the 71st National Film Awards. The ceremony was attended by director Yashowardhan Mishra, producer Guneet Monga Kapoor, producer Ektaa, and Monika Shergill from Netflix, where the director was honored with the award and medal by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.
The film features a strong cast, including Sanya Malhotra, Anant Joshi, Vijay Raaz, and Rajpal Yadav, and has made history as the first Netflix Original to win a National Award.
Sharing her experience, Ektaa remarked, “Attending the National Awards and celebrating Kathal’s win is a magical moment for our entire team at Balaji. This story was created to shine a light on authentic, quirky Indian narratives, and today’s recognition makes the journey unforgettable.”
