Hollywood actress Halle Berry has a reason to rejoice. Her daughter Nahla Ariela has been accepted into college early, and the proud mother can’t contain her happiness.

She took to the Stories section of her Instagram, writing, “Congratulations to my sweet Angel Nahla for her early college acceptance,” as reported by ‘People’ magazine.

In the photo, a box that read, “Today is the sweetest day” was opened to reveal a pale pink funfetti cake with “You did it Nahla!!” written in white icing.

As per ‘People’, the actress shares Nahla, 17, with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. She is also mom to son Maceo-Robert, 12, whom she shares with ex-husband Olivier Martinez. Berry is currently in a relationship with Van Hunt, who revealed he proposed to her in June, although she has yet to accept the proposal.

During a June 4 episode of ‘Today with Jenna & Friends’, the actress expressed her hopes for Nahla’s future. She shared, “She’s 17. She’s going to a college summer program, the college that she’s hoping to go to next year. She’s going away this year to the college summer program.”

“So you’re almost there! Is that wild?” Jenna Bush Hager asked at the time.

“It is, but I’m not one of these moms that feels like, ‘Oh, she’s leaving’. Yes, will I worry? Of course,” Berry continued. “But am I excited for her to start her life and figure out who she’s gonna be? Absolutely. I’m dying to see who she’s gonna be and what she’s gonna do and what she’ll discover.”

Berry also mentioned her desire to “break that stigma” about being a working mom.

“We can still be seen as good mothers, there for our children, but also, we have to be there for ourselves because these kids will grow up and move on and if we haven’t maintained a life for ourselves, then what happens?” she said.

Renowned Kannada film actor Sudeep Kichcha performed the Pind Daan ritual in Gaya on Monday in memory of his late mother. She had passed away a year ago, and fulfilling this sacred duty had been a heartfelt wish of the actor.

After the rituals, Sudeep visited the Vishnupad Temple to offer his prayers. Reflecting on the experience, he mentioned, “When I saw the holy feet of Lord Vishnu, I felt an incredible sense of inner peace. I had heard that performing Pind Daan in Gaya helps the departed soul attain salvation, and that’s why I came here.” He was accompanied by his wife and nephew during the rites.

The ceremony was conducted with great reverence, adhering to proper Vedic traditions, by the descendant priests of Rai Bahadur Gopal Lal Barik. Lasting around three hours, the Pind Daan rituals were marked by a special offering (Tarpan) made in honor of his mother, showcasing the emotional depth of the occasion, as noted by Acharya Vinod, who led the ceremony.

Current Projects and Reflections

In conversations with the media, Sudeep revealed that he is currently engaged in multiple film projects, with a major release expected soon. He shared, “I don’t even remember when I last visited Bihar… but this is my first visit to Gaya. The sanctity and atmosphere of this place have truly touched my heart.” His presence in Gaya sparked lively conversations among the locals and beautifully highlighted the confluence of religious faith and cinematic charm.

Krishna Raj Kapoor, the wife of legendary actor Raj Kapoor, passed away in 2018 due to cardiac arrest at the age of 87. Raj Kapoor married Krishna Malhotra in May 1946, and they were blessed with five children: three sons, Randhir, Rishi, and Rajiv, along with two daughters, Ritu and Rima.
