Anupam Kher and Boman Irani share nostalgic moments before ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla 2’ release

Two of Bollywood’s most versatile actors, Anupam Kher and Boman Irani, recently enjoyed some food and fun together.

In a video shared on social media, Kher asked Boman, “How did you like today’s food?” Boman humorously replied that while the food was okay, the company could have been better, taking a light-hearted jab at his friend. A laughing Boman then added, “the company was superb sir, superb.”

While reminiscing about their beloved film “Khosla Ka Ghosla,” Boman mentioned that they would be meeting again in January, hinting that the much-anticipated sequel, “Khosla Ka Ghosla 2,” might begin production in the first month of next year. The caption on the post read, “Company could have been BETTER! Khosla meets Khurana!”

The sequel was recently confirmed by producer Savita Raj Hiremath. Unlike the original, which was directed by Dibakar Banerjee, the new film will be helmed by Umesh Bisht, known for “Gyaarah Gyaarah” and “Pagglait,” taking over the reins from Banerjee.

Regarding the cast, Kher, Boman, and Ranvir Shorey are expected to reprise their roles from the original film. Initially, Huma Qureshi was announced as the leading lady, but it seems she has opted out of the project.

The original film, produced by Savita Raj Hiremath under Taandav Films, in collaboration with Ronnie Screwvala from UTV Motion Pictures, was scripted by Jaideep Sahni. It features Kher, Boman, Parvin Dabas, Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey, and Tara Sharma in pivotal roles.

“Khosla Ka Ghosla” tells the story of Kamal Kishore Khosla (played by Kher), a middle-class man from Delhi who, along with his family, strives to reclaim their land seized by a builder named Khurana (played by Boman).

This beloved film was later remade in Tamil as “Poi Solla Porom” and in Kannada as “Rame Gowda vs Krishna Reddy.”
