On actor Chunky Panday’s 63rd birthday, actress Ananya Panday shared a charming childhood photograph on Instagram to wish her “papa.”

Chunky Panday’s Acting Journey
Chunky began his acting career in 1987 with the multi-starrer Aag Hi Aag, where he starred opposite Neelam Kothari. He followed that with roles in Paap Ki Duniya alongside Sunny Deol and Neelam. From 1987 to 1993, he featured in numerous multi-hero films, often playing supporting roles.
His notable successes include Paap Ki Duniya, Khatron Ke Khiladi, Ghar Ka Chiraag, Rupaye Dus Karod, Vishwatma, Lootere, and Aankhen. His only solo hit came with Parda Hai Parda.
A Comeback and Versatile Roles
After experiencing a dip in his career, he made a comeback in 2003 with minor roles in Qayamat, Elaan, Don, and Apna Sapna Money Money. Chunky gained recognition for his comedic roles, particularly as the Indo-Italian “Aakhiri Pasta” in Housefull. Preferring character roles over lead ones, he transitioned to playing villains in films like Begum Jaan, Prassthanam, Saaho, and Sardar, along with the web series Abhay, showcasing his versatility.
Recently, he appeared in Housefull 5, which features a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, and Sonam Bajwa. The film also includes Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir.

The first installment of the Housefull franchise premiered in 2010, loosely based on the 1998 Tamil film Kaathala Kaathala. The sequel hit theatres in 2012, followed by Housefull 3 and Housefull 4 in 2016 and 2019, respectively.
Ananya’s Upcoming Project
On a different note, Ananya will next be seen in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. This romantic drama, directed by Sameer Vidwans, also stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. This marks Ananya’s second collaboration with Kartik after Pati Patni Aur Woh. Produced jointly by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia, and Kishor Arora, the drama is set for theatrical release on February 13, 2026.
