Trishala highlighted how women who choose not to marry or have children often unsettle traditional mindsets. She pointed out that such decisions challenge the unhappy yet well-accepted narrative of what constitutes a fulfilling life.
In her Insta Stories, she wrote, “Do you know why so many people are bothered when some say we don’t really want a marriage, kids, or a mortgage? Because our freedom challenges their unhappy, unfulfilled formula.”
Defining Happiness on Our Own Terms
She emphasized that there is no one-size-fits-all script for happiness or purpose. When someone opts for a different lifestyle, they are often labeled as loose, selfish, or wrong.
Trishala articulated the societal reactions: “And not because they are, but because some of us out here are proving there are other ways to live well and live peacefully.”
She stressed that life’s goal should not be to seek approval but to pursue what feels right for oneself, regardless of others’ opinions. “We’re not here to audition for approval from others. We’re here to build lives that make sense to US, even when they confuse others,” she asserted.
