Babil Khan recalls sweet memories with late father Irrfan, sharing moments of joy and laughter.

Actor Babil Khan recently shared some heartfelt memories of his late father, Irrfan Khan, reminiscing about their lighter everyday moments. He fondly recalled how Irrfan would often jump on him while saying, “sofa mode activated.”

Nostalgic Photos on Instagram

Babil took to Instagram, sharing two touching images.

  • The first photograph captures a young Babil lying relaxed on the back of his father, Irrfan Khan. Both appear comfortable on a striped floor mat, surrounded by simple pillows and everyday household items.

  • The second image shows Irrfan and Babil standing face-to-face outdoors at night, with streetlights and a softly blurred background adding a dramatic effect.

For the caption, Babil wrote: “Pictures of you. Pictures of me. (I used to say ‘sofa mode activated’ before I jumped on him and fell asleep on his back).”

Returning to Social Media

Last year, Babil had also shared a video (which he later deleted) where he expressed feelings of alienation in the film industry, visibly upset and in tears. He mentioned various industry names including Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, and even Arijit Singh.

In October, Babil made his return to Instagram with pictures of himself in a brick red sweater, signaling the arrival of winter as the monsoon receded.

Recent Work

He was recently seen in Logout, a cyber thriller drama that features Rasika Dugal, Gandharv Dewan, and Nimisha Nair. Directed by Amit Golani, Logout delves into the dark side of digital fame and the psychological toll of life lived online.

Remembering Irrfan Khan

Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer in 2018 and began treatment for a colon infection caused by the illness in 2020. The acclaimed actor passed away just one day after being hospitalized at the age of 53. Tragically, his mother, Saeeda Begum, had passed away just four days prior in Jaipur.
