Actress Saiyami Kher is set to embark on an exciting new project alongside actor Tahir Raj Bhasin, with the film being directed by designer-filmmaker Vikram Phadnis.
In her Instagram stories, Saiyami shared a glimpse of the new venture by posting a picture of a script booklet. She captioned it, “New year. New beginning. As always, Need all the wishes.”
Additionally, she posted a collage that featured a striking monochrome image of herself sitting with Tahir and Vikram during a reading session. The collage also included a photo of the project’s clapboard. While Saiyami kept the details of the project under wraps, she conveyed her feelings with the caption, “And today every silent prayer finds its way home.”
Recently, Saiyami completed shooting for “Haiwaan,” which stars Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film also features Sharib Hashmi and has been filmed in beautiful locations like Kochi, Ooty, and Mumbai. The shooting began in August this year and marks the reunion of Akshay and Saif after 18 years.
The duo last collaborated on ‘Tashan,’ which unfortunately did not perform well either commercially or critically. The film also had actress Kareena Kapoor Khan in the cast.
In another development, Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar are working together on a project titled ‘Bhoot Bangla.’ This horror drama is anticipated to be released towards the end of 2025 and signifies the reunion of the successful actor-director pair.
As for Saiyami, she was last seen in “Jaat,” directed by Gopichand Malineni. This film includes a stellar cast featuring Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Regena Cassandrra, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Saiyami Kher in pivotal roles, along with Ramya Krishnan, Jagapathi Babu, Prashant Bajaj, Zarina Wahab, P. Ravi Shankar, and Babloo Prithiveeraj.
“Jaat” revolves around a mysterious passenger whose obsessive demand for an apology leads him to confront a ruthless labourer-turned-crime boss, culminating in an intense conflict between the two.
