Ace director and cameraman Vijay Milton has praised H Vinoth, the director of Vijay’s latest film ‘Jana Nayagan’, for expertly managing the immense pressure that comes with directing such a high-profile project.
Challenges Faced by Vinoth
In a heartfelt message on his Instagram page, Vijay Milton outlined the various pressures Vinoth encountered while steering the film. He remarked, “His (Vijay’s) speeches (dialogues) must be appropriate for his political entry but at the same time, they shouldn’t be distant and cut out from the plot of the film.”
Milton continued, “As this is his last film, it must be the biggest of all his films. However, at the same time, it must be clearly distinct that it must be your film as well.”
He emphasized that Vinoth had to consider not just the fans but also Vijay’s party cadre, stating, “A proper reply had to be given to haters.” He ended his note with admiration, saying, “Despite so many pressures, how easily you have handled it! Outstanding Vinoth!”
Trailer Release and Highlights
Vijay Milton’s commendation followed the release of the much-anticipated trailer for ‘Jana Nayagan’. The trailer opens with a notorious thug in a phone call, inquiring about a person named Thalapathy Vetri Kondan. The response is alarming: “Hope you haven’t tried your tricks with him because you would have heard of many killers but have you heard of someone setting a record in it? That is ‘Thalapathy’ for you. Do not touch him. He will slice you up.”
The audience is then treated to several gripping action sequences. A young child asks Vijay, “You bashed an entire battalion. Are you Superman?” His humble reply is, “I am just an ordinary man baby but I have heard people say that whatever I do is super.”
The trailer introduces Mamitha Baiju as Vijay’s daughter Viji, with Vijay urging, “Girls should not be scared. She must be like a tigress.” As the story unfolds, we see Viji in fear and pain, while Thalapathy embarks on a quest to find the one who dared to harass her.
Antagonist and Political Statements
Bobby Deol appears as the antagonist, who believes he can make India submit to him in 30 days, with a nefarious plan called OM aimed at destruction.
The trailer features Vijay delivering powerful political statements, including a strong declaration: “Be it anybody who tells me, ‘I will close your chapter’, ‘I will cause disgrace to befall you’, I have no intention of turning back.”
It concludes with a striking scene where he criticizes corrupt politicdigihunt, stating, “Instead of entering politics to serve the people selflessly, you barge into politics to loot and kill innocent lives.”
With growing excitement surrounding the film, ‘Jana Nayagan’ is set to release worldwide on January 9 this year.
