Timothée Chalamet Refuses Butt Double in Film ‘Marty Supreme’ for Authenticity in Spanking Scene

Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet has a knack for authenticity in his roles, refusing a butt double in his upcoming film, Marty Supreme.

The 30-year-old star portrays a ping pong champion in this new sports drama. In one particularly striking scene, his character is spanked by Kevin O’Leary’s pen entrepreneur, Milton Rockwell. Kevin shared that when it came time for this scene, there was initially a stunt double involved, but Chalamet insisted on doing it himself. “He didn’t want some other a** immortalised,” Kevin recounted.

The shoot was not without its challenges, as Kevin revealed the filming “went on for hours.” Director Josh Safdie insisted on perfection, resulting in around 40 takes until 4 in the morning. Furthermore, Kevin found himself using a real paddle after the fake one broke on the first swing. “Josh was saying, ‘You’ve got to wind up harder’. I was really whacking him,” he admitted.

According to reports, Rockwell humiliates Marty during a dinner party, spanked as a form of payback for his entanglement with Rockwell’s wife, retired actress Kay Stone, played by Gwyneth Paltrow. Kevin described this moment as “a pivotal scene of humiliation” because Marty had offended him repeatedly. “I never felt satisfied that he suffered enough for what he did. Even now, I’m still p*****,” he added.

Gwyneth previously mentioned in an interview with Vanity Fair that her character has “a lot of sex” with Chalamet’s character in Marty Supreme. She emphasized, “I mean, we have a lot of sex in this movie. There’s a lot, a lot.” When asked about being in vulnerable positions with the Dune star, she replied, “Beyond.”

Gwyneth further explained her character, describing her as a woman married to someone involved in the “Ping-Pong mafia.” Their connection is complex, as she noted, “I think he breathes life back into her, but it’s kind of transactional for them both.” She also mentioned that having an intimacy coordinator on set for these intimate scenes was a new experience for her.
