Jodie Foster prefers single-tasking over multi-tasking, focusing fully before moving on to new challenges.

Hollywood actress Jodie Foster, renowned for her iconic role in “The Silence of the Lambs,” has revealed that she is not comfortable with multi-tasking.

Single-focused Approach

The 63-year-old actress prefers to dedicate her complete focus to one task at a time. Once she has completed it, she moves on to the next. In an interview with Red magazine, she shared, “That’s my personality. I like to do one thing with total focus, and then I like to be done and go skiing. I’m not somebody who’s a multi-tasker. Can’t go in and out of doing one thing, then do something else. I’m like a one-person channel.”

Embracing New Challenges

Foster has a passion for seeking out new challenges and loves the idea of immersing herself completely, both mentally and physically. She expressed her eagerness, stating, “So I would like someone to say, ‘OK Jodie, you have to take a year of your life and you will speak Mandarin and play the flute. I’m in. I want to take on something like that.”

Additionally, she mentioned her interest in returning to school for a year, saying, “But I don’t want to be stuck making a commitment to something that I then have to be an expert in for my whole life. I just want to play an expert on TV.”

Celebrating Progress for Older Women

On another note, the actress is pleased to see more high-profile roles for older women in film and television. She noted, “Maybe that’s just because our great actors are finally getting older, and so we had to have vehicles for them. Also, things changed. I think there was a real consciousness that few in the industry. And you know, when I grew up in the film business, there were no other women, so it was just me and a whole bunch of guys. I never saw another female face, except for sometimes the woman with my mom or make-up artist, but most of the time not.”

Jodie Foster is open to adaptations of roles specifically for her, showcasing her adaptability and continued passion for acting.
