Salman Khan Ditches Bulletproof Car for Bike Ride on 60th Birthday, Surprising Fans and Security Team

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, currently under Y+ security cover, made headlines by defying security protocols on his 60th birthday.

Skipping the usual bulletproof car, he opted for his motorcycle and took a free-spirited ride around his Panvel farmhouse. On Saturday, Salman was seen enjoying the ride while leaving his fleet of heavily armored vehicles behind. Accompanied by his security team, the ‘Sultan’ actor rode confidently, with fans and photographers lining the streets to cheer him on. As he crossed a bridge, his ease and confidence on the bike stood out.

Typically surrounded by tight security, Salman displayed a different side of himself on his birthday. Despite the increased protection in recent years, he appeared completely at ease during the bike ride.

In recent times, Salman Khan has often traveled in bulletproof cars due to safety concerns following serious incidents. A notable incident occurred in April 2024 when a firing took place outside his Bandra residence, leading to enhanced safety measures. His security was further bolstered after alleged threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Reports indicate that bulletproof glass was installed at Galaxy Apartments and high-value bulletproof vehicles were added to his convoy. The situation intensified after the murder of his close friend and politician, Baba Siddique.

Salman Khan’s passion for bikes is well-known. Over the years, he has frequently been spotted cycling through the streets of Mumbai and riding motorcycles in various locations. However, his love for cycling had taken a backseat recently due to the heightened security threats.

The ‘Dabangg’ star celebrated his birthday on December 26 at his Panvel farmhouse. The star-studded guest list included celebrities such as MS Dhoni, AP Dhillon, Sanjay Dutt, Karisma Kapoor, Orry, Aditya Roy Kapur, Genelia Deshmukh, Sangeeta Bijlani, Huma Qureshi, Rakul Preet Singh, and Mika Singh. Bobby Deol and his family were also present, marking the ‘Animal’ actor’s first public appearance following the passing of his father, veteran actor Dharmendra.
