A Strong Bond
Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan share one of Bollywood’s most enduring and emotionally layered friendships, grounded in mutual understanding, loyalty, and shared life experiences. Their bond stretches back to the 1990s, a time when both were navigating the challenges of stardom, media scrutiny, and personal turmoil. Over the years, their friendship has grown stronger not just through professional collaborations but also through standing by each other during difficult times.
Salman has openly shown his support for Sanjay, especially during Dutt’s legal battles and health issues. He has publicly advocated for Dutt’s well-being, attended family events, and displayed unwavering loyalty when many chose to distance themselves. In return, Sanjay Dutt has referred to Salman as a brother-like figure, appreciating his generosity and emotional resilience.
Trust and Loyalty
Their bond is rooted in trust, with both actors prioritizing personal loyalty over public opinion. On-screen, their chemistry has resulted in memorable collaborations, characterized by mutual respect. Off-screen, their friendship is marked by honesty and an unspoken understanding cultivated through shared highs and lows. In an industry often swayed by convenience, the companionship between Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan is a rare example of steadfast friendship and genuine brotherhood.
Upcoming Project
On the work front, Salman will soon be seen in ‘Battle of Galwan.’ This film is based on the Galwan stand-off between India and its expansionist neighbour, China, which occurred on June 15, 2020, during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic in India. The Indian and Chinese troops clashed in the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh as part of a larger border standoff along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The confrontation turned violent when both sides attempted to patrol disputed areas, resulting in hand-to-hand combat.
