Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar shared a heartfelt birthday message for Bollywood’s Bhaijaan, Salman Khan, who celebrated his 60th birthday recently.
The renowned director of ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ expressed her wishes for Salman’s starlight to “shine forever.” Sharing a nostalgic throwback photo of Salman from his younger days, Zoya captioned her Instagram post: “Happy Birthday Salman (collision and hug emojis) Health Happiness and 60 More (clinking glasses emoji) May you shine your starlight forever (evil eye emoji) Only (red heart emoji) (sic).”
Salman marked his milestone birthday in the company of the paparazzi. He emerged from his Panvel farmhouse, cutting a cake in front of the gathered photographers and graciously offering them a slice before posing for their cameras.
On the eve of his birthday, Salman hosted a special celebration for family and friends from the film industry at his farmhouse. His parents, Salim and Salma Khan, sister Arpita Khan with her husband Aayush Sharma and their kids, Ahil and Ayat, along with his brother Arbaaz Khan’s son Arhaan, and Sohail Khan’s son, Nirvaan Khan, were all in attendance. Arbaaz Khan and his wife Sshura Khan also arrived with their newborn daughter, Sipaara.
The guest list featured several Bollywood stars, including Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram, Genelia Deshmukh with her sons Riaan and Rahyl, MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi, producer Ramesh Taurani, Tabu, Nikhil Dwivedi, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Huma Qureshi, among others.
On the professional front, Salman is currently engaged in his much-anticipated war drama, “Battle of Galwan.” With Chitrangda Singh starring as the lead, the film will portray the 2020 clash in Galwan Valley between Indian and Chinese troops, highlighting the soldiers’ remarkable courage as they fought with sticks and stones in a region where firearm usage was restricted.
